We’ll I’m much lower than the normal applicant as well. Not exactly URM too. Wat is in the SUBJECT of the email?

Rejected. :'(

The wait is over… i didn’t get in…:(

rejected.

but 8085 applicants! that’s crazy.

Rejected…

rejected. i expected it, though. congratulations to everyone that got in!

Rejcted.
oh well~ Congrats to those who got accepted~!! And don’t lose hope for anyone like me who didn’t make it.

Rejected. There was no way I was going to get in, now that I think about it. But a 5.7% acceptance rate is craaaazy!

Does anyone know how many get waitlisted, and hw many get in on average?

The subject line said Amherst College Decision for someone who asked earlier.

Oh, i can answer my own question. not a hell of a lot…500 or so waitlisted (dont know what year), about 100 accepted the waiting, and…2 got in. woah…

In recent years, I don’t think anyone (or perhaps 1 or 2 people only) were accepted off the waitlist. In 2005 and 2006, no one was accepted off the waitlist.

accepted :)

Waitlisted. Oh well. I guess this makes my decision a little easier…

“In 2005 and 2006, no one was accepted off the waitlist.”

In 2008, 37 students were accepted off the waitlist.

I have to say, I really appreciated their waitlist letter. Rather than being bitter, I liked the way they worded it (“This is not meant to be a consolation prize”).

Quasi? What about you?
I was waitlisted. But got into Wesleyan with a beyond amazing FA package, so I’m actually pretty ecstatic. Rejected from Vassar and accepted by Wellesley.

Accepted! :)

Rejected. Boo!

Rejected.

I guess I’m going to Smith.

Edit: Hi, Heart Like A Socket! :)
