Why does everyone think the cells question asked for types? It just said what is the FUNCTION!!! We didn’t have to identify whatsoever!

@Snoop1 do you think they are gonna take off all ten points from the 2nd FRQ if you have the wrong idea? I’m really hoping for partial credit…

stop talking about the test. they can track your ip address. now run.

uh 370 for the fr

For the fossils question I’m 99% sure it was 360 mya because it’s the only thing in between (transitional). 390 mya is older and 350 (or 35_) mya is newer.

I don’t want to discuss the questions but I’m just wondering did anyone think this exam was extremely hard? I heard a lot of people say it was easy but the types of questions/amount of reading and time made the multiple choice really difficult for me… I studied an insane amount and it did not test my knowledge of biology at all :l hopefully I can redeem myself with the SATII

@Casafrron i feel you bro, made the EXACT same mistake. What ****es me off is that i did all the analysis right, and if i had that simple fact down i think i wouldve gotten full points on that questions. But one simple fact trip up cost me almost all of that section.

Yes. I thought the MC was extremely hard and had little to do with AP biology. The free-response wasn’t too bad though. I’m praying for a 4!

I agree that the amount of unnecessary reading in the MC as well as the tricky answers that are just testing problem solving made it harder than it should have been. But the FR I got was so easy. It was ALL on general information or experimental procedures and graphs. The questions that prompted for specific information were very specific and did not ask for too much imformation, all of which I knew.

So instead of discussing questions, as we shouldn’t, I think we should use some analogies and euphemisms :)

@casaffron, True they dont take off for wrong statements but they do if you contradict one of your statments.

@Alec481997 Well number 1 was a blue as the sky…like that?

Should I take the Bio SAT? I feel like I did a lot of studying for the AP exam and that I might as well take the Bio SAT

MC was fairly easy. It was EXACTLY like the tests we took in class. I’m surprised some of your teachers didn’t adjust to the curriculum causing you guys to freak out about the format lol. I don’t think I did that great on MC, despite its easiness, because I didn’t manage my time well. I did all MC but only finished 3/6 Grid Ins, which I’m sure I got right
FRQ’s were all easy except #1. *** was that?

yes do take sat ii bio. it tests bio knowledge with only few graphs. you need to understand wide ap biology concept though. for me, it was easier. but the curve is really not lenient. you need to get like -3 max to get 800

Q1) I think a previous poster was right…20/20/20 to 30/0/30 should be accepted.
Q2) Graph 1 = bacteriorhodopsin, Graph 2 = chlorophyll a
Q3) Fossils definitely 370
Q4) Top process = Photosynthesis, Bottom Process = Cellular Respiration
Q5) History of Peptide…relatively straight forward, missense, nonsense, likely not function
Q6) X = muscle cell (1pt), movement (1pt), Y = any cell the secretes hormones/peptides Z= RBC probably, maybe something else??
Q7) Murine urine Easy, should have been easy points.
Q8) Reception, Transduction, Effect/Response

Do you guys predict that a 70% would definitely be a 5?

yes I’m hoping for a nice curve but all these people who say it was easy are scaring me :(

probably around 70 percent

Looks like I m getting +85% for the FRQ. So if i get 60 on MCQ, i m still getting 72.5 which is probably a 5.
