**OFFICIAL** AP Chemistry 2014 Thread

Caco3 is a solid, so I believe it will not affect the pressure and it will stay higher. Also, for question seven part c, is trial two faster because more molecules will collide initially, making it faster? That’s what I put.

Guys, solids and liquids don’t affect the equilibrium constant or equilibrium at all.

The curve is not pre-determined to whoever said that.

And, CB usually reveals some sort of data on twitter in June.

I had Form O multiple choice, but I did not have the free response posted on the College Board website. Is this strange?

@Chimp22: Since the amount of CO2 added doesn’t exceed the amount of CO2 is originally formed (1.04 atm) , we know that there is at least enough CaO(s) to react with the extra .46 atm added to the vessel. I believe if the Pco2 exceeded 2.08 atm, we would run out of CaO before getting back down to 1.04 atm.

It’s up to what the readers will consider plausible explanations at this point.

@Hawkace‌ are you saying they make it on the spot, or that they make it after the fact. I have a contact I can ask if we want a definite answer, but there are many ways they could do it.

@LycanAlpha‌ They determine the curve after everyone’s tests are graded. They release that curve in June.

How much do you usually need for a 4?

55-60% ish.

What’s all this brouhaha about Form O? xD

@Repede A 3 is a 40%?

if you check appass.com then you will see that a 40% does equate to a 3 for the old exam

@jimmyboy23 That is for the old test. For the new test, a new and harsher curve is expected, similar to the of AP Bio last year.

Im so scared for the ap chemistry exam scores. I think I did bad. Can someone tell me if I passed.
~53% on the FRQ
~50% on the MC
My chem teacher told me that I only need a 50% to pass.

@capitalamerica that’s why I said “for the old exam”. Plus, the only argument for the curve becoming more rigorous is speculation that it will become more like the bio exam where very few fives were given and actually more threes were given so the pass rate actually went up from previous years for that exam

AP Bio tomorrow… The curve is…not generous.

Ok, if I got like a 65-70% on MC, but like a 50-55% on free response is that a 4?

Please answer!!!
If i got a…
50-55% on the FRQ
45-50% on the MC
Do you think i got at least a 3?

@serevicfrode‌ That will probably land you at a solid 3, but I wouldn’t expect anything higher than that
