Official AP Chemistry Thread (2014-2015)

Can we talk about the FRQs wanna see how accurately I BSed. Haha

I think I bombed the last one lol

I am confused. Why did I not have those two parts on my FRQ… I’m flipping out :open_mouth:

Maybe the soft drink part was experimental ???

@cocolover123 @apactstudent same for me!! pH of the soft drink question and last 2 of the ethene/ethanol was not on my test! How did they screw that up?

@Kitsyxoxo You might be right… because it was not on my test… For question #2, my FRQ stopped after drawing the lewis dot. I didn’t have parts E and F.

@uncbound16 I am so relieved that I am not the only one. I am literally crying right now because if collegeboard somehow screwed it up and we get the pitfall for it, that’s an unfair screw up of our grades and I seriously thought I got a 5 but that’s a lot of points to not show up on my frq.

IF IT HAS HAPPENED TO ANYONE ELSE PLZ SPEAK NOW

should we email collegeboard?? this is serious!!

cuz maybe they will explain it was experimental and its ok

are we allowed to talk about the questions now?

My best friend doesn’t remember having the exact same parts as you Cocolover123 . That’s so weird .

@zach1198 we can talk about frqs…

What?! REPORT IT!!!

@Kitsyxoxo Okay so this is like a thing that’s happened to a lot of people.

Okay if I report, can the rest of you who didn’t see it on your FRQ say something as well to collegeboard? So they’ll see its a big problem

@cocolover123 yeah someone should email collegeboard…my friend says she didn’t see those parts on her exam either

This is really weird

i remember the questions about the bond angle and ethanol on my test but didn’t see the one about the soft drink! was it actually there and i didn’t see it or was it really not there?!

It seems a lot of people have the same issue with missing 2(e), 2(f), and 3(f). I can definitely say that I did not have these on my test either and I’d wager to say these are worth at least 4-5 points or around 10% of the FRQ score.

For 1b) Did you guys get that the mass increases because oxygen flows into the cell through the membrane?
for 2b) did you guys get something around 60%?
and, for 4b) did you guys get 0.010?
