How many of you are sophomores?
What happens if you got all of those right though bc those didn’t have it got to spend more time on the other parts so therefore it isn’t fair to throw out the questions
holla @ me @cocolover123
But its still unfair if they throw out the questions. (Mainly because I think i did well on some of them) but also because I spent time and CollegeBoard just can’t be like ok we’re not counting those questions because I’m still put at a disadvantage.
@Kitsyxoxo EXACTLY!
I think I got all three of missing parts right so therefore I do not think that it would be fair to throw out the questions for those who had them
Then one group of students get points for something that others didn’t have the opportunity to receive points for…? How is THAT fair…? The way college board has handled everything in the past is by simply throwing out what the issue is. And it’s not all about having time for questions. You either know how to solve a question or you don’t–I think that by having more time to stare at it, the answer doesn’t magically appear.
Lol
Plus I am sure college board finds a way to even out the points you can get. Just like they manage to have two different forms but still make the grades fair when questions are different – it’s beyond me
bond angle was roughly 104, same as water, tetrahedral electron configuration, bent molecular structure
I think the college board should readminister the free response personally
Also – then if you guys want to argue that then you will need to argue that it is not fair they throw out 10 multiple choice questions because what if we got the 10 they throw out right and if the 10 weren’t there, the other 50 we would have had more time for.
That’s basically what you guys are saying. It’s all about logistics.
@cocolover123 I’m also a sophomore! Does anyone know how the missing questions will impact grading?
But everyone had 60 multiple choice questions to complete in the same of time whereas we had to complete more free response questions than you in the same amount of time .
@violinvirtuoso3 College board usually manages to make things work out in a way that benefits them. Who knows… there’s an article on huffington post that may make all of us feel better
It’s about how ap exams are such a sham and corruption and won’t even exist several years down the road.
obviously the personal satisfaction of doing good is great, but… apparently a group of professors gave the kids who got a high 5 on the AP Bio exam a basic biology 1 entrance exam and they all failed it. Not a single passed. They’re thinking the college board is not operating in a functional manner if the exams that are supposed to baseline our preparation for college courses isn’t even working out.
Just a thought
It was an interesting article honestly.
To the people who said they didn’t have the questions, I think it might be because you didn’t see them. I remember because when I was taking the FRQs I didn’t see those three parts until the last 15 minutes or so of the test. They were on the next page on the righthand side of the booklet.
@nhnct21 I understand where you are coming from but I can assure you that I 100% know I did not see them. Trust me. And if you don’t believe me, then sorry.
We all had equal opportunity at the questions, @cocolover123; I’m not completely sure why you wouldn’t have the opportunity to do it, especially since it was right there and people accidentally skipped the question. It doesn’t mean we didn’t have equal opportunity, unless there was actually a misprint and the question was missing completely. It’s a case of human error, but that’s just my take on the situation.
So we have to wait for the schools to mail CollegeBoard the FRQ’s before collegeboard acts on anything?
for the battery, the equilibrium expression is K=1/[O2] so as concentration of O2 decreased, K increased
@cocolover123 but the difference is that we all had the 60 questions so we all had the same amount of time allotted.
@polarknut Good for you if the question was there for you, yet it was not there for me, and many others on this site.
If you were correct, I’m sure my teacher of 35 years of teaching experience would have an equivalent take. Thank you though!!
I think we should all just wait it out. It will turn out alright. Collegeboard hasn’t even seen any of our tests yet so they probably don’t even know what we are talking about.
@c0llegeb0und2468 Yet on the frq’s, we didn’t think we wouldn’t see some other people see. We all figure we are going in with the same amount. We already know 10 get taken out of multiple choice, but we don’t assume that of FRQ.
As for college board, they have made so many mistakes in the past, it’s ridiculous. I’m curious as to what their response will be but it appears we will have to wait.
