*OFFICIAL* AP Grade Hotline Thread

wow that’s cool, do u know which colleges offer this option, or if it’s relatively common?

I’ve heard of a lot of places doing it; if they display your standardized test scores online, they’ll probably have your AP scores when they get them, which is when they’re released by phone. I’d check with your individual college.

Ugh… waited last year just for 1 test, including the 3 weeks EXTRA because they weren’t done by the first mailing. (It was worth it, though, for a 5). I’ll be calling, this year; it’s only $2.67/test with 3 APs!

All of you guys who are impatient with their grade should not become traders.

well i took 5 tests, so $8 is $1.60 per test. I might just call, use my credit card, and get the news so i can prepare for when my parents will see it. i wouldn’t tell my parents. they wouldn’t be happy i wasted $8…they do see my credit card bill but they wouldn’t be suspicious about a random $8 charge to college board. they’d assume it was connected to signing up for SAT2s. lol.

i took 4 tests so it breaks down to a nice 2.00 each, but i really don’t care…i want to know so i’m willing to pay regardless of what it breaks down to

any idea when it will be available this year? i’m guessing starting around the 27th or so

It’s either on the 26th before I leave for registering at berkeley… or waiting till it comes in the mail.

SAT scores come out on the 26th from june SAT’s. How crazy would it be to get AP and SAT scores the same day?

I’ll be out of the country on July 1, but I wouldn’t call even if I were at home. I’ll probably still be out of town when the scores come in the mail, but I made my parents promise not to open them. I would feel weird calling. Plus, it’s a lot of money for one phone call with test results that I’d get in a couple weeks anyway.

I am dying now and it is only June 18!

i’m also dying!

it’s clear that there are people who don’t feel the need for the ap grades by phone service and people who don’t…lets try to move away from posts that argue whether or not calling is worth it. if you want to call, that’s good…if you don’t, that’s good too.

You see I view it this way: if you call and get bad scores not only will you feel horrible but you will also be out of 8 dollars. Every time I have waited for score reports I have done well. Patience is key.

wait so we can call by june 28th? b/c my college needs to know what im taking credit for by july 1st.

I guess there’s something to be said for savoring the mystery of the sealed CEEB envelope…

I have never waited for the wnvelope so I figure why start now. I do not have to pay for the exams and I would like to register for classes at higher levels asap so they do not fill up.

Yeah I also need to know my grades to I know which classes to register for.

I won’t be home anyway, so I’ll just wait for the envelope…there’s no pressing reason why I need them…if they’re not all fives I’ll just be angry that I wasted 8 bucks.
