I got a 5
10 char

how do you prepare for this exam? i’m not taking it yet but just want to know-not really sure what it’s about.

i got a 4. chess94, just practice reading short stories and answering really subjective multiple choice questions about them, read 4-5 classic novels/plays (i.e. beowulf, frankenstein, hamlet, brave new world) and be able to use one to answer an open ended “theme based question”, and review poetry terms/ be able to comprehend poems and write an essay on one. practice books like princeton review/5 steps to a 5 i felt reallly helped my multiple choice reasoning.

I got a 5. My school does not offer AP English Lit (or Lang, for that matter), but says that it adequately prepares students to take either exam. I took both and went to a couple of after school review sessions which were basically, “This is what’s on the exam.” I just made sure I had a couple of good books for the open essay and did multiple choice practice the night before.

Okay, so that wasn’t that useful, I guess, but my point is that if you think you’re good at English and read on your own, you should be fine as long as you familiarize yourself with the exam material.
