** official ap psychology 2013 thread **

@Rishab - I won’t discuss specific questions, for obvious reasons. I did decently on the MCQs. I’m sure of around 70-75 questions. 10 or 15 more boiled down to just 2 options, so I might get around 80 or so. I did extremely well on the FRQs too. I’m hoping for a 5

Question- When they release the FRQs online, do they release scoring rubrics too?

Nikhi, I hope so.

I feel extremely confident about this test. I thought it was fairly easy compared to some practice tests that I took. I think the free response was a bit more difficult than the MC, but I think I got at least a 4.

The FRQs are usually released soon after the exam, while rubrics are not even created until grading starts over the summer. So likely no rubrics initially

authoritarian parents exhibit complete control, and generally raise more insecure children as they have less experience making decisions.

authorative parents allow children to make their own decisions under parental authority and supervision; creating more secure children experienced in decision making.

Is reputable when neurotransmitters are absorbed by the terminal buttons of the sending neuron or by dendrites of receiving neuron?

Reuptake* sorry

@RishabC297
it’s when neurotransmitters are reabsorbed(reuptake) by the terminal buttons of the sending neuron.

I thought this test wasn’t too bad. I think there were about 20 questions were I narrowed down the answers to two choices. Hopefully I got around 90 multiple choice. Did anyone else study with Barrons? Normally I thought barrons was said to have a lot of superfluous information, but I found the book really helpful.

Sent from my skz_tenderloin using CC

I’m not feeling too good about the free response… I said the ethical flaw was that the two groups were different ages and the design flaw was that they were not randomly selected and assigned. I’m assuming I’ll get zero points for that.

And I didn’t know what overjustification or source amnesia were, and I didn’t discuss any reinforcement schedules besides variable ratio.

I think I made around 70-80 on the MC. I’m really hoping for a 4.

Would the fact that two groups of people were studying at DIFFERENT times than each other be considered a design flaw in an experiment due to its introduction of a confounding variable?

Hey guys for the second free response I am worried if I put my response in the first or second given page. If I put it on the second page (I was scrambling in the short 50 minutes that I had), would I get a 0/8 for the second free response?

I studied with Barron’s and found it super helpful! It was definitely over detailed, but totally worth the time.

The more I read about the MC, the more questions I realize I missed. -_-

I’m frustrated with myself because most of the questions that I got wrong were the ones I changed my mind on. :frowning:
From here on out, I’m just gonna stick with my original answer. It seems like whenever I go back to check my answers, I always second guess myself then get it wrong. -_-

Would lack of a control group count as a design flaw?

The ethical was that the names of the participants were released

I thought ethical flaw was that the participants were not debriefed, considering they only received their names and scores.

if anyone needs to measure how much they got, you can use this calculator:
