Anyone have good thoughts/formats for the comparison essay?

Good luck guys

For the comparison essay–try to find one comparison and two contrasts or vice versa and explain and analyze in three paragraphs.

Remember guys, knowing HOW to write the frqs is half the battle

What do you guys think of the APWH crash course?

Don’t just spend all of tonight watching all 40ish episodes. If you want something short, try <a href=“Global History and AP World Review in 12 Minutes - YouTube”>Global History and AP World Review in 12 Minutes - YouTube;

Are we allowed to discuss talking points for those possible essays?

Also which prompt would be which essay?

Also how do we write ccots? I feel like what we reviewed was different for what we originally learned. This week he said to have at least 3 total continuities or changes. Shouldn’t get specific in thesis because the. They won’t count, right? And then five pieces of evidence showing the changes happened?

Three paragraphs–at least one continuity and at least one change. Your thesis is a point, idk what you mean by specific but just say something like, “China in the so-and-so period changed in its religious leanings and strength of the emperor, but remained the same in its patriarchal society.” Idk how much evidence you need, but 5 sounds about right.

Thank you everyone! Unfortunately I wasn’t able to see any of the comments before the test. I took the international version hours ago. I thought some of the MCQ was really easy while some of them were not… familiar. FRQ was easy though

Oonawong, it was my impression that if you specifically mentioned something in the thesis, you can’t use it as a continuity or change? Or maybe it was evidence that you can’t repeat.

So what my teacher said was to be broad in the thesis and more specific in the body paragraphs

@Onsemiru Same feeling, some MCQs were strange but it was not bad overall. Essays were easy!

AAAAHH. Okay. MCQ were easy IMO, DBQ was too, but the other two essays were fiendeshly difficult.

MC was SO easy. Circled most of the questionable ones, and that was seven in total with my best guess. The dbq was probably the easiest and best I’ve ever done. Continuity seemed okay, and compare/contrast seemed the most trouble, but not hard.
