***Official AP World History 13-14 Thread***

the rubric usually states for something (i.e. the thesis) to fully answer the question (which specifically asks for ONE in capital letters), but i have no idea exactly if doing that would count or not. You probably would still get points for things that doesnt matter as much as fully answering the question like historical context and stuff.

Modcal, how long was it?
If you have everything they can’t take off.

It was two pages and a half. I should have global context and some historical evidence. I had a continuity and two examples of changes(trade goods and trade routes).

For the ccot, does interregional trade mean within a region, or just among the world focusing on that region?

I feel like the only person who feels this way, but the compare/contrast wasn’t nearly as bad for me as the change over time, because holy crap. I had no idea what I was talking about (I’m pretty some of my facts were from the wrong time period tbh). My DBQ was really good (or at least I think that it was)…probably a 6 or a 7, MAYBE an 8 since I did use some global context. The MCQ’s were so-so…I don’t really know. They were easier than I expected, and there were only 5 that I had absolutely no clue on, but I probably missed about 10 more. I’m shooting for a 3 at this point.

Could any of you specify whatever you can remember about the MCQ (length; I heard that the CB was making question lengthier), and also about each FRQ (regions, what they asked you to compare)? I’m taking the APWH test on the later date and I wanna know what to eliminate as essay topics so I can focus more on other topics.

Thank You. Any and All Responses GREATLY Appreciated!!

@oonawong238‌ yesssss, the CCOT part was so hard for me as well. I seriously bs’ed it SOO bad. I’m pretty sure I didn’t not even score a 1 on that essay, it was really bad. I talked about trade and the silk roads and just summarized what the region I picked was like… The comparison really wasn’t bad though if you planned

Does anybody have/want make google docs

I don’t know why everyone is using the mutualistic thing as a group. I said there was a mutualistic relationship, and then my groups showed how they benefited mutualistically.

I grouped them in ways that showed benefits/postive relationship and then detriments/negative relationship.

I used mutually beneficial for general and then mentioned specifics

Guys! Please do not discuss the specific topics/MCQ of the test… This was hopefully explained to you by the proctor.

@PoisonIvy20 We cannot do that… Plus, you will probably get a different topic than what we got today. So just study the same way we did before the test.

I thought the FRQ was okay because they get publicly posted to the website? That’s what the proctor said at my school. I’m sorry if that’s inaccurate. I won’t anymore

Thought it was within 2 days of administering to not discuss. Could be entirely wrong. But better safe than sorry.

Look at unallowable content: <a href=“AP Announcement and Warning - AP Test Preparation - College Confidential Forums”>AP Announcement and Warning - AP Test Preparation - College Confidential Forums;

I’ve been taught to use themes to group DBQs: like religion, military, technology, social, economic, etc. I used these to group the DBQ. Can’t tell specifics though.

Trying really hard not to break the rules…
I had a lot of trouble in the first FRQ. What about you guys? I really just want to ask my teacher! Can hardly wait until it’s released–I’m sure she’ll know.

I felt good about the DBQ. pretty easy topic with an abundance of information begging for 3 groups and god-like analyzing.

What do you think the curve will be? This is a new format
What would a 65 MC with 7 DBQ and 6 and 5 FRQs give?

@SgtGutter‌ that’s a solid 5 based on previous exam cutoffs

Seriously though somebody just PM me the link to the google doc if you’re scared of getting in trouble
