<p>So I encouraged my Freshman S to take the ACT as a baseline to see where he is at. I am ecstatic with his results, because it really puts him right where he wanted to be eventually, on his first try.</p>

<p>His realistic goal was a 32, with his stretch goal of 34. Has his eyes set on ND if he can get to that 34.</p>
<p>His prep consisted of 3 full practice tests (27, 29, 29), and 2 or 3 Math practice sessions.</p>
<p>When he got home from school, he was SOOOO encouraged by this and is ready to prep some more for his next attempt.</p>

<p>@lauriejgs: I live chatted with an ACT representative yesterday, and was told that the tests are scored randomly. Plus, I have plenty of friends who took the test at the same location (some even the same room) as me, and they have their scores while I don’t. I don’t think there is any location or last name correlation.</p>
<p>I had no idea scores could be up already but I just checked and mine are! 31 composite, I’m over the moon! I got a 29 my first try, this was my second, and I haven’t done any prep (so hopefully with prep I can get a 32+ 
). I improved in every section except reading, I went from a 33 to a 30 
but everything else went up significant so I don’t really care! Plus super-scored I have a 32 </p>

<p>I got my scores just now! The writing portion is not up but I got 32 on science and I thought I did bad on it so the curve must have been good</p>

<p>Probably but don’t wait up for it since they didn’t do it at the right time on Monday. Just sleep and check it in morning ACT ppl might delay it again just like Monday</p>
