Anyone else staying up to check scores?

aaaaaand no writing scores -___-

@compsciguy97: Wow, you’ve got an extreme focus on CS. Your test scores are good, but your GPA/transcript is weak. At this point, I’d say your only chance to get accepted into CMU or Stanford is to really excel in CS on a national level. Berkeley is a maybe, but they seem to like more well-rounded people, so it’s a high reach. Georgia Tech and UT Austin are matches.

Care to reciprocate? <a href=“Rate My Schedule - High School Life - College Confidential Forums”>Rate My Schedule - High School Life - College Confidential Forums;

@DiscipulusBonus‌ schedule looks good. hard to give an objective rating since i don’t know everything else/where you’re applying, but it definitely looks solid from my POV.

and yeah i have a pretty strong focus on CS. hoping to, as you say, excel on a national level this summer through the startup i’ll be working at (which i feel has a really strong chance of success)

@compsciguy97: That sounds pretty awesome. I was only recently re-introduced to programming, and I’m planning to spend my entire summer learning web development (via The Odin Project), and next year I’m really going to focus on learning algorithms for programming competitions.

Out of curiosity, how did you learn CS?

@DiscipulusBonus‌ I’m almost entirely self-taught, but I did spend last summer taking classes at NYU SCPS and it helped me a ton. I would check it out if it’s feasible for you.

Less than 24 hours and some of us get to be disappointed again when our scores don’t post! Hooray!

Got a 10 on my essay! :smiley:

when did your writing score get posted?

Please post if your status changes on the ACT website. Of course my status still reads Registered.

Still at registered. What is project Odin like?

still registered… GAHHHHHH %-(

Got my essay score back today as well - 10!

For anyone wondering, I first saw my Writing score about 2 minutes before I posted that comment. I apologize to those still registered, but recommend relaxing for a bit. Or maybe studying for the upcoming AP exams.

YAY got my essay score today- 10!
