**OFFICIAL April 2014 ACT (US ONLY)**

Registered and Scoreless

I was told my scores would come today and there is still nothing. Has said “tested” quality assurance for over a week

@3tennisstars have you tried earlyactscore website?

yes- i have tried early scores multiple ways: website and pasting in the URL - all fields still read as “null” even though the lady on the phone could see my scores yesterday.

Hi everyone,

I’m new to college confidential, but I’ve been keeping track of this thread for a while. Like the rest of you, I took the April act; it was my first time. T_T

Still registered, no scores, slowly dying from suspense…@ScholarMilan you are not alone. The good news though, is that I’ve been hopeful and disappointed so many times that I’m slowly growing numb and apathetic. :)

There was an incident in my state (Hawaii) and I’m wondering if it could be affecting the release of my scores. Apparently, one of the high schools (Not mine, thankfully) administering the test “lost” one of the booklets by the end of the exams. Everyone in room had to take the test again (not sure if it was on the same day or rescheduled). Do you think this, given my state’s unique situation of being in the middle of the pacific ocean, could have meant that everyone’s scores in my state were delayed? I know it seems to be a random selection from different states from what I’ve read on the thread, but Hawaii isn’t part of the Mainland 48, so are our scores processed differently? Now mind you, if someone else here is from Hawaii and replies with their scores, I’m completely wrong and my lack of scores means that I’m just being given a lesson in patience. :P

Thx for any help. Congrats to everyone on their scores. Y’all did such a fantastic job!

Btw, the act student live chat is just “typed” chat, right?

Do colleges look at individual scores or the composite score more? Because I got a 35 composite, but my English score was the lowest (32 which was disappointing because I got a 35-36 on practice tests so i don’t know what happened that day). Everything else was fine- 36 on math and reading, 35 on science, 10 on writing.

So should I take it again??

Do they release scores on Saturdays? Does anyone know?
Mine still aren’t here, and I’m still registered. It’s incredibly frustrating.

@07160123- that depends on the institution. Each college and university has a different methodology so you need to check. Most of the schools I’m looking at only use the composite score.

@Bananabelle96- I was told by chat only on Wednesdays and Fridays (aside from the initial roll out date). Sorry for your delay. I feel your pain.

Pretty proud, considering I took this cold:

35 C

36 M
35 E
35 S
34 R
10 W
33 E/W Combined

I took my Subject Tests yesterday, ugh… they sucked.

33 C
35 E
33 M
34 R
29 S
11 W
34 E/W combined

As for the curve, I got at least 3 wrong for math. I had two 18 subscores for english and only got a 35. Shocking because I really thought I got the 36. I don’t believe I could have gotten more than 3-4 wrong for reading (17 and 18 subscores). Science is always up in the air for me, and I’m thinking I got around 5 wrong maybe? Very rudimentary guesses at the curve haha.

Anybody have any ideas about the curve?

are scores up yet? waiting on writing…

Scores are up now.

Praying that my scores come tomorrow :(

35 C
35 E
36 M
34 R
34 S
7 W
31 E/W

Science and writing were both disappointing. I’m happy with my composite score, but I wonder if I should re-take the essay portion of the test. I really thought I was going to get a 10+. :(

@DiscipulusBonus- That’s a terrific score. Don’t worry about taking it again. Hardly any schools look at the writing portion for admission. Most, if they use it at all, look at it after admission for course placement.

Does anyone know if all the scores for today have already been posted? I’m so sick of waiting! Honestly, at this point, I barely care what I got. :stuck_out_tongue: (just kidding, I really hope I did well…I’m just so beyond frustrated!)

@Bananabelle96- you should go to the ACT website and live chat question them. I’d be upset too!

They said that they post them at 8 am central time (so 9 am est) and they said to check again Friday
