TwoJumbo2007, I heard from Duke yesterday. Though that was their micro dept and not neuroscience. Best of luck.

My year, I heard from Stanford Biosciences around January 15.

Belevitt Did you hear from Duke by e-mail? When was your file complete?

i didn’t apply to uwash genome sciences, but i have a friend who did. i think he scheduled an interview already

Yale neuro! 29 interview invitations issued today via phone. Faculty met this AM to decide.

I received a call from a faculty member though he did say that they would be emailing information out in a couple of days. My applications were complete as of Thanksgiving weekend.

neurohopeful -
can i ask you when you submitted yale? do you know if all the neuro interviews are out? also, did you get an automated email from the admissions committee yesterday about your “yale school application status” giving you a link to check what they have and haven’t received yet? i submitted on the last day… so i’m hoping maybe they didn’t get through all the apps although i highly doubt it. thanks! :)

Has anyone heard about interviews from UChicago or UMich Neuroscience yet? please no please no please no… :/

Belevitt,
The UCSF rejection came by e-mail… ouch. :(

For everyone who applied to UCSF and haven’t heard yet - my application website still says “under review” do not be fooled! I hope an interview invitation e-mail is on its way to you. :)

Hey everyone should we start different forums for people interviewing at different schools? I know a couple people here are going to UT southwestern with me…

Good luck everyone! :)

In case anyone was wondering, Univ. of Washington-Seattle Dept. of Pathology gave interview invitations by email yesterday.

I have not heard from Michigan Neuroscience (note: this was a direct application to the Neuro Program, not through the Biomedical Sciences). Didn’t apply to Chicago.

FutureNeuroGrad-I also applied direct to michigan’s neuro program. Hopefully no news is good news at this point!

So I just got an email from Vanderbilt saying that my application is under review and asking if there was a good time to talk on the phone with someone about my research interests. I applied to the Neuroscience Integrative/Cognitive track. Did anyone else get an email like this? Should I do a lot of research into the different labs there before I talk to him?

I am not in your field, but I would at least be familiar with the output of 3+ labs in the program before talking to them. If it is an individual professor contacting you, then be familiar with their work…

Just got an interview from Harvard (Systems Bio) via e-mail.

Congrats neurostudent! I would definitely make sure you are able to talk a little about whose lab you might be interested in working in (and why). I applied via the Molecular/Cellular Track (IGP) and received an invitation to come interview a few days ago. I guess the programs there do it all a little differently.

Congrats on Harvard’s Sys Bio- what labs do you want to work in there?

hello,

just wondering if anybody has heard back from the bbs program. do they notify you via email? also, do they send you a rejection letter or do you just not hear back from them at all? thanks.

Hi bikohcello, I called the Harvard BBS program yesterday. They told me that they start notifying in early to mid-February and the official letters in the mail don’t get sent out until early March. I’m waiting to hear from them too.

Wow mid February or Early March?
