Official Biomedical Sciences Interviews/Acceptances 2009

Anybody heard from Carnegie Mellon?

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if anyone heard anything further from Penn Neuroscience. I got the email invitation, and confirmed I’d do the end of January interview…but haven’t heard anything further as far as details.

Making sure I’m not out of the loop, and it seemed to be getting late.

Thanks! :)

Ps Anyone hear from Duke Neurobiology?

Has anybody heard from Tufts Sackler, the Cell, Molec and Developmental program?

Georgetown Neuroscience interview invite!! Yeah baby!!! aghem…it’s March 18-20, for anyone planning

Hi Phusion, got an invite from Wisconsin IPiB on 1/12 for interview 2/5 to 2/7

Has anyone heard from UChicago biophysics, scripps, or uwash bio?

phanta: thanks for the info on UWash. I am leaning towards keeping that interview, and am probably going to have to choose between Northwestern and U Virginia. Anybody have any opinions on these two? IBiS for Northwestern and Molecular Cell and Developmental Biology for U Virginia.

Someone asked about UCSF TETRAD. I haven’t heard anything from them either and it looks like nobody else has either… however my chem subject scores were REALLY BAD so I don’t think they’ll be asking me (no other schools required the subject scores). Good thing all my grad programs I’m applying to are bio!

I’m kinda hoping I’ll hear from Sloan Kettering if I can go to the 1/20 interview… but the chances are looking pretty slim.

Northwestern IBiS invitation to interview by phone today. Interview scheduling clash…I’ll probably have to turn this one down… :frowning:

Waiting on: Mt. Sinai, Wisc, Arizona, Nebraska, Sloane, UPenn, UCSF

What a helpful thread~

I am an international student in a foreign university. I noticed that some of the institutes are already giving offers or interviews to US students. I do hope that they send them late for students like me :)

May I ask anyone heard back from Harvard MCB? I know their interview weekend is Feb 11-14 (only 1 interview weekend). I have not heard back anything from Harvard MCB so far, I guess I am out of the club… =(((

Just got a call from Yale BBS - interview visit on Feb 12-16!

AlleyCat – I got an email from Penn Neuro with more details about the interview on Jan 6th. I would send them (Jane) an email soon probably, since you’ll have to arrange your flight with Penn AMEX (although this was super easy). Good luck!

Got an invite to interview at UC Berkeley MCB (1/12), Stanford Biology Home Program (1/13), and UCSF Tetrad (1/14)!

Does anyone know the % of admissions offers made by these programs in relation to the number of student attending interviews? Thanks!

biostudent: When is UCSF Tetrad’s interview date? And did they email or call you?

Just got an invite from UCSF Tetrad via phone! (missed the call but they left a message)

Invite dates are Feb 6 and Feb 27.
