I also was waitlisted! and I think I’ll decline after a few more decisions because i would rather go somewhere else (especially somewhere that wants me lol) and it’ll make it easier on the AOs and students for whom bowdoin is still the first choice

I also liked Colby better than both Bates and Bowdoin based on what I read, and I’m glad things worked out well (even though they’re all great schools, obviously)!! Do you have a top choice right now?

Really interesting… I am waitlisted at Colby and offered only spring term at Hamilton, but I am admitted to Bowdoin… So this is so RANDOM!!!

What are your stats? Congrats!
Congratulations. If your student has a good idea of what they want to study, do a deep dive into the offerings of those departments at each school. Also consider if there are general graduation requirements. IIRC Hamilton has an open curriculum, Bowdoin and Colby have some requirements. Bowdoin is in a much less remote location. There’s a train from Brunswick to Portland and it’s about 35 minutes from the Portland airport. Colby and Hamilton are in beautiful, rural areas. Bowdoin has the most diverse student body. HTH.
