[] Teacher Recommendation: I’d assume pretty good ones. My Spanish teacher from Spain is sort of a wildcard because he isn’t used to the American system
[] Counselor Rec: Pretty impersonal. I go to a school of 1000 kids per class. That being said, I stood out for him because I lived in Spain
[] Additional Rec: Really good. I had the leader of the four trips I made to a Guatemalan orphanage during Spring Break write my rec.
[] Interview: It went pretty well. We were both pretty delightfully awkward…haha

[] Why you think you were accepted/deferred: Quite honestly, my GPA did not look very impressive in comparison to other people. They only accepted one ED applicant out of 20 that wasn’t an athlete.
[li] Where else were you accepted/deferred:[/ul] None[/li]General Comments:
Quite honestly, I was pretty bummed because I definitely “stood out” from my peers at school. While my GPA was rather low for what they regularly accept, the fact that I am a white girl that loves Math and Physics seemed like a big bonus. Also- I attended an American school in Spain for my Junior year, and learned to speak Spanish proficiently. The school taught at honors level pace. Four of my classes were in Spanish (Spanish History, Art History, Advanced Spanish Language AP, and Political science) and two were in English (Calc, English-lit) However, I must not complain. A GPA is a measure of someone’s hard work during two years of their high school career, and that’s undeniable.

And they only took one girl who got in without athletics involved. She has a 3.95 GPA. Beyond that she seems like a very talented writer.
