Are they sending out acceptance emails or just through portals?

Well, I just called admissions and confirmed that I messed up on my application. I put my physics and chemistry under electives instead of physical science. We have a class in Washington called physical science and it is its own category. So, I added physics and chemistry elsewhere. The admissions counselor (who answered right away) said that I won’t get credit for 4 years of lab science (and therefore I miss the 200 bonus points to my MCA). University of Washington, here I come! It would be a miracle at this point I think to get into OOS ME with a 4500 or 4550 MCA. My 4700 had looked pretty good. I’m feeling resigned now.
For the rest of you, I asked her again if all of the OOS ME (and other majors) have been announced. She was quite definite in saying “No.” It will take a week or two. She confirmed that it is all automated. She did not know exactly where it was in the process. I don’t know if she’d tell me if she knew. So, feel free to call them if you have questions about your application. They are available, not particularly busy, and I believe the computer is sending out notifications. If you ask about when a particular major is going to be announced, they will either truly not know or won’t tell you. She was very nice by the way.

Just got accepted into Poli Sci but I had to physically check the portal, I did not get an email.

True. I didn’t call to see if I was admitted. I had a question about how I did my application. You’re right - they won’t tell you if you’re admitted or not and they don’t know where they are in the process.
Accepted on portal sometime between 11:45am and 12:15pm today, Cali time. CLA, in state, no email received.

@w8tn2c isn’t that the date for email notifications? people have been accepted for in state poly sci but that link says they release on the 25th, so pretty much everyone could find out any time by then?
Yeah, that confused me too. I think those dates are for the last day for notfication perhaps? @w8tn2c
