OFFICIAL Carnegie Mellon University Decision - Class of 2014

Four months ago I spent every day checking my Where Am I In The Process Page 10-20 times to see if I was admitted. Days passed and as people posted “Accepted to Carnegie Mellon” I sat there thinking I was rejected. Just because your acceptance letter does not come out in the first wave does not mean you were rejected. I got my decision a week after everyone else even though I live in Pittsburgh! I learned the hard way that posting on CC every 10 minutes while waiting just makes it worse. With that said, last year Carnegie Mellon released decisions tonight at midnight. The decisions may or may not be released tonight. Most likely they will be online on the 27th but who knows maybe they will release them tonight. Good Luck!

Shouldn’t we include a line specifying which school within CMU we were accepted to?

Nice, so do you think you’ll be going to CMU?

Cinquemb: Pardon my ignorance, but how do you get a weighted GPA over a point more than your unweighted GPA? Anyone?

I’m going to assume it was a typo. shrug Not like it matters if he got in :)

Its possible AVHS Dad. If all his classes are weighted as 5 but the college weighting is from a 4. (Mine is 3.87 vs. a 4.67- about .8 higher)

all my core classes are honors with 5 weighting and the one ap class i too was weighted with a 6

Wow, your school is weird. Weighting a class with 6 points is unheard of.

Okay, now my head hurts!
LOL!!!

i could get a pic of my transcript scaned online if you wanna look at it more, just pm or something

well to be honest i dont understand how it works, because our school doest really offer ap’s like alot of schools and the only thing that was like that was the AP calc i took

DS’s school only gives 1 point for APs and nothing for honors. Your school is crazy!
