CAS- Undecided:

Pick one:
Decision: Accepted (ED) OMGGGGGGZZZ

Objective:

* SAT I (breakdown): 720 CR 690 Math 670 Writing (2080 overall, I only took it once)

  • SAT II: 750- Lit 690- Math II
  • Unweighted GPA (out of 4.0): BAD BAD BAD. I still don’t know it, but less than a 3.4 My guess is a 3.15. Around an 86.5 overall average. Awful foreign language and physics grades, plus a downward trend (hahahha)
  • Rank (percentile if rank is unavailable): competitive, small private school doesn’t rank
  • AP (place score in parenthesis): AP US- 3 (was in a program, and couldn’t take any junior year)
  • Senior Year Course Load: AP Calc AB, Advanced Stats, Advanced Debate IV, Latin III, AP English Lit, AP US Gov’t and AP Marco.
  • Major Awards (USAMO, Intel etc.): none. i guess i went to nationals in debate last year…

Subjective:

* Extracurriculars: Cheer (co-captian)
debate team (president) (both of these were all four years.)

  • Job/Work Experience: Congressional Page- 2 terms, and cloakroom service. (basically there were 4 kids in the country who worked there)
  • Volunteer/Community service:campaign volunteer- about 1,000 hours
    theatre camp volunteer- about 1,500 hours
  • Summer Activities: the theatre stuff was all in the summer, as was some campaign work
  • Essays: I was told they were good, and I think they must have been what got me in… DEF unique.
  • Teacher Recommendation: excellent, i read it.
  • Counselor Rec: i dont know, most likely average. she doesn’t like me, but she clearly didn’t write anything bad.
  • Additional Rec: from my old boss. I’m sure it was great. I also went to page school, and think the GC there may have written a little something when he sent my grades.

Other

* State (if domestic applicant): texas.

  • School Type: private, college prep
  • Ethnicity: white guuuurl.
  • Gender: female
  • Income Bracket: i dont know… hahaha
  • Hooks (URM, first generation college, etc.): nope.

Reflection

* Strengths: EC’s, and I guess my test scores were okay

  • Weaknesses: GPAAAAAAA
  • Why you think you were accepted/waitlisted/rejected: EC’s and Essays. Make sure you come across as a person on your app. :slight_smile:

General Comments: I got in with merit money (CAS scholarship), and statistically I shouldn’t have gotten in at all. So there’s hope for everyone! Work hard on your essays and short answersss!
I AM SOOOO FREAKING HAPPY!
