*Official Class of 2016 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread*

Sure. Just to make this clear though, are we talking timezone specific? Because technically I’m already posting tomorrow in forum time.

LOL, I will be constantly checking/posting on CC to get new developments no matter how hard I try to stop myself…

Michigan is in EST, so we will say EST lol

So what does everyone plan to major in?

I’m currently undecided, but thinking physics. I’ll probably take a few intro classes freshman year as well.

Also, I do not expect a reply for the next 24 hours, effective in approx 25 minutes.

Oh dear lord, I’m already stressed enough, did you have to bring up majors! Kidding…well not really. Im very undecided. I love science and biology, always have; however not sure if I want to be a doctor/go through med school. I love sociology, but am not sure how useful that degree would be. My parents are pressuring me into business, but, to be fair I havn’t had any real classes on it yet and want to try it out. I like math and might be interested in actuarial science. IM A MESS! haha

If I had to choose now, I would double major in sociology and biology, which is kind of why I consider Duke my first choice because its much easier/more common to double major there and no separate business school to worry about!

Well if there’s any school that would be awesome to be undecided in, I’d say it’s UMich. (~8 minutes).

looking to major in engineering…going in as a ChemE major but the discipline of engineering could definitely change…hoping for business so the discipline doesn’t matter too much

If the majors topic stresses you out (even more) I’ll propose a new topic:

Super Bowl 2012 Predictions:

Packers - Ravens.

Sorry Detroit… (Suh!) (~1 min)

packers>everyone!

Political Science & Economics

@stewta, Yeah, I’m still going to post :stuck_out_tongue: I can’t help myself, and saying I’m stressed is oddly…helpful teehee. I plan to major in psych and go to med school, but possibly rethinking? so many options! Oh, and nice use of the hashtag :)

lol so hi guys…I have been a SUPER active member of the UPenn ED decisions thread…i was unfortunately rejected…penn was my dream, but UMich is an amazing school. I applied EA and right now i need to know. UMich is my last chance, it is here or rutgers…granted rutgers is a great school, but Umich is amazing, and i really want to be a future wolverine

I am rooting for your CB. I chose Michigan over Penn way back when (getting into universities was way easier back in my day) and looking back, I definitely made the right choice. Campus life at Michigan is so much funner and richer and Ann Arbor is way hipper than Philadelphia.

lol @Alexandre using funner. I didn’t laugh because of the grammar as much as how true that statement is. I visited Penn earlier this year for 4 days to visit a close friend that goes there and let’s just say I was extremely surprised at how little they had going on compared to Michigan social scene wise. We actually had to skip over to Drexel to find a party that night. Plus Penn football (I went to a game) is so boring after you’ve been to a game in the Big House.

And Penn is supposed to be the “social Ivy”!

A couple of my friends have already received their emails letting them know they will receive their decisions very soon. I haven’t received mine yet (as well as others), so I don’t know how they’re process is for all that. Has anyone here gotten their “heads up” email from umich yet?

Since none of us have gotten the “Get Ready” email yet, does that mean the decisions will be released sometime next week?

From what I heard, last year they sent out the “Get Ready” email on the 3 days before decisions were sent out. It’s seems already too late to send it out on Tuesday, so decisions will most likely be given Mon/ Tues next week.

@ Aeriss, I haven’t gotten anything. I feel like if Michigan had sent “heads-up” emails, we’d hear on this thread from someone who actually got one. Are you sure they aren’t pulling your leg? Are they athletes or something?

yeah i feel like SOMEONE would have gotten an email already on this thread. there is some REALLY qualified people and there is a ton of us contributing to this thread… i’m not sure if that email thing is reliable

I’m an international applicant and I still haven’t received my “heads up” email.
