*Official Class of 2016 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread*

well i’m lsa. why have i still not gotten it yet???

i think there will still be acceptances today.

what time do you guys think they will start again today???

maybe 10…?

why have i not seen a single rejection??? why can’t they have a logical method for the order of notification??? ■■■■. i do not know anymore whether i’m anxious or angry.

and why can’t they give us clear office hours???

were all the acceptances yesterday for the Northeast? Big quota of NJ aceptances, saw no deferrrals.

I think you haven’t seen a single rejection because people don’t go out and scream and crow about rejections. They don’t post them on FB and the people likely to be rejected aren’t hanging out here.

Good luck to everyone who hasn’t heard. We haven’t heard - my daughter applied to engineering, we’re from CT.

I applied to kinesiology as well. No word yet…

I don’t think the people who got rejected really want to post their rejection. I’m pretty sure people have been rejected though. Since they’re sending out decisions in batches, I’m sure we’ll get it by either today or tomorrow at the latest. Let’s just hope for the best, good luck guys.

my friend just got an email this morning. like 5 minutes ago.

ravens… kines just started sending out this morning. my friend with a 24 ACT just got word but my friend and i still have yet to get word.

Most of the acceptance letters were from instate students or northeast students. It’s insane how many people from NJ got accepted!

ravens. the email was post marked 840 last night though.

Will they be sending it out exclusively to Kines students, or every other college in general?

i didnt’ get my emai yet…should i be worried…i did a confirmaiton that i qualified for early aciton…

lindsy, can you tell us what time the email was sent?

given the big uptick in applications again, IMO the yield will not be much higher than 30% (about 1 in 3 accepted will actually enroll). I think they will accept as many as 19,000 applicants. This year many students are applying virtually everywhere, 15-25 schools in some cases, but they can only enroll at 1. Many high scorers are applying to 4 or 5 of the Ivies, U Chicago, Northwestern, Duke, Stanford, Vandy , UVA, Michigan, Berkeley UNC and a handful of LACs (Williams, Amherst, Middlebury). Some H.S. are moving to limit the number of transcripts sent to 8-10, but I wonder if that is even legal. Bottom line, getting accepted has gotten tougher, the Common App. makes it easier to apply, and everyone wants to compare several FA and scholarship packages. The 1% will soon not only apply to the wealthiest cut of Americans, but to those attending the best colleges as well. Obviously there is an intersect there w/the progression of time as graduates from the most elite schools hit their peak earnings years.

i think they are still sending.

NJ Acceptance may reflect a move to bring in OOS full pay. Many parts of NJ–are among the most affluent in the country.

guys my best advice would be to try to sleep, go work out, take a nap, just get off CC. its making us all crazy. CC crashed for me last night and it was the biggest blessing ever. Then i went to sleep and I woke up and my decision was sent. You won’t accomplish anything sitting on CC all day. Im SURE that there will be many more acceptances sent, GOOD LUCK!
