*Official Class of 2016 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread*

Invites come within a few weeks of acceptance!

I was just accepted last night to LSA!!! SO EXCITED!!! It’s not my number 1, but it’s one of my top choices!! I’m going to apply to the honors program-- why not? :)

Lindsy, where are you getting your information about the kinesiology school from? When will they be sending the other half?

@julyaugust Did you just receive your email today? And congrats by the way! :)

whats your last name? its really not information its just a theory. everyone who has heard from kines has a last name in the beginning of the alphabet. and the people who heard from nursing had a last name of b and c so i assumed the same thing.

Gotcha. I’m in the L-S range so I guess I still have hope!

Lindsy have you commented on the Admissions FB page? I saw a Lindsy that commented and we have 7 mutual friends lol

I’m a K so yes you definitely do!

Goddammit. The wait is making me second guess myself. I see all these people with 34 ACT scores and 4.3 GPAs getting in.
I only have a 30 and a 3.85 GPA (unweighted, my school stopped weighting GPAs because it discourages taking electives. There’s an AP bonus system but on the transcript its not mentioned.) I hope my electives and being instate helps me :|

Don’t worry. I said earlier that I got accepted, and I only got a 29 on the ACT and have around a 3.52ish for unweighted gpa. There a lot of really talented students on here, but don’t be intimidated by their scores.

no it’s not by alphabetical order. My friend is a L and she got it early yesterday. Another friend of mine is a K and he got it too. WHERE IS MINE.

i feel like their sending it out to the kids who applied earliest first and then so on

no we are talking about kinesiology @topcgirl its completely different.

it is so random… sigh
my friend’s last name starts with V
and he got his email around 5 30-ish
and then other friend (starts with c) got his at 11…
But first dude applied to engineering while second dude applied to lsa

So I received the E-mail last night at around 6 pm EST, but waited till this morning to open it with my family and I got in!!! I’ll post stats on the decisions only thread. Congratulations to all the future Wolverines!!

i got into engineering with a 1360 CR+M and 3.8 gpa unweighted on the 4.5 scale and im Asian and an out of state applicant…lol

@baller56 that is not true. i applied in September and have not heard and some people who heard yesterday applied within 5 minutes of the deadline

I applied on October 30th and received mine yesterday. I’m also OOS.

I hate to say it but I’m losing hope. Look at any other forum and there’s normally a few people that say denied or deferred.
I haven’t seen one for mich. starting to think I’m deferred or denied since i haven’t gotten an email yet

EricJPrice, that’s awesome, but for everyone else I’m not so sure if it’s always the best idea to open the letter with family. I’m not sure I would want everyone around me trying to awkwardly pity me if I didn’t get in. But that could be personal preference.

Michigan is too cruel if they are seriously sending the decisions by accepted/deferred/rejected. That’s inappropriate.
