** Official Class of 2017 University of Michigan EA Decisions Thread **

hey guys,
I know most of you guys are EA applicants here but
does any one know about how long it takes to hear the result of the rolling admission that I submitted around Oct. 20?

herpp -_-
“CC Headlines: CALCULUS HIJACKS DECISIONS THREAD!”
xD.

If I may ask, why would it be rolling admission in the first place if you applied on October 20th? That still qualifies for Early Action, no? Or was it because of another school you were applying for?

hahahha oh calculus… wouldn’t oct 20 be considered EA?

Oh, my bad. I mean around Nov. 20th…

Does anyone know what time we will be hearing our admission decisions tomorrow?

guys i think this a huge misconception that needs to be cleared up… uMich NO LONGER does rolling… they do Regular like other schools. so you’ll get it on the official notification date with everyone else.

^i think this is true at least

@chickennugget

i asked the chick on the chat thing earlier today about times, after exposing the fact that the counselor email got leaked, and she had no answer.

Hey guys, I’m an EA applicant from Ohio (and before I get questions I am a buckeye fan, already accepted, but you never know). A classmate of mine got an email today from Michigan and was rejected. Don’t know any more details behind it, but thought you guys would like to hear it and probably dissect it. Good luck to all.

^SS or we simply can’t believe you

Probably applied to a different, specific school, like the one for Dance or something. Still, I’m really sorry for your friend’s loss. :(

I believe they start at 3PM chickennugget. Emphasis on believe; I feel like I heard that somewhere but it could be false. As I said earlier in this thread I get out at 11:30 AM tomorrow, and despite what I just said, I can guarantee you I’ll be checking as soon as I get home.

Being SENT at 3 and being RECIEVED at 3 are different, though. Looking back on last year’s thread, it looks like many of the people who received their email on the first day got it at least two hours after it was sent.

I really hope they don’t send out decisions like they have done in the past. (Mostly acceptances on Friday, deferrals/rejections on Saturday…It’s straight up cruel.

So I checked my email, and my heart nearly burst out of my chest as I saw a little (1) sitting next to the word “Inbox.” I quickly looked over to check what it was… it was just a Nintendo advertisement. Dang you, Nintendo! As much as the Wii-U looks amazing, I’m a little preoccupied right now! Maybe later! :I

I think they may release them earlier than 3. Last year a bunch if people from my school found out around 1:30 . Where did we come up with 3, anyway?

but guys WHAT IF IT’S MIDNIGHT ?? i mean they changed the heads up email and stuff soooo maybe they changed this too

Just got deferred from Northeastern University… hoping… no… PRAYING for U of M tomorrow.

I don’t think they’d start exactly at midnight. Nonetheless I’ll be up at 6:15 to check…

I’m so sorry to hear it, csinger95. I know it isn’t much, but at least it wasn’t flat out rejection. :(
