Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

let me guess. You’re from Texas!

Edit: @SweetIceTea‌

<a href=“- YouTube”>- YouTube;

LET’S MIMIC AND PRETEND THIS IS FROM CORNELL

@Cornell19 Yes, I am lol. What gave it away? I used to live two house down from the Jonas Brothers lol.

@SweetIceTea‌ I know the Texas state state system has a crazy high endowment. I was planning on applying to UT Austing McCombs but missed the deadline… Whops, hopefully I get in to Cornell haha

@acceptmeed my heart was pretty much in my throat.

@Cornell19 McCombs is amazing!. My friend’s brother turned down Princeton for McCombs. My cousin got accepted to NYU Stern, Georgetown, Dartmouth, and Rice and he chose UT over all of them even though Rice gave more money,

football/basketball scene is nonexistent compared to Big 10/Big 12

classes are incredibly hard

many AP credits won’t transfer

I will have wasted 1200 on other apps

@anish567‌ Whoa how many other colleges have you applied to if you’re paying $1200.

…I’ve been trying to think of something for 10 mins now but I’m still coming up blank… Well hopefully I get in :P

what’s everyone’s second choice to Cornell?

The king’s son weighs a lot.

@alyzahq‌ if I get denied to Cornell I’m going straight in to the workforce. Kidding

let’s go more in depth with the list like how bad the weather is (exaggerated of course ;P)

has anybody recieved an email from cornell telling us how to access the decision?

@AcceptmeED‌ I told a former marine (I believe) I was applying to Cornell ED. She said “that’s in Ithaca right? That’s where I did cold weather training before being deployed.”

Edit: Ithaca currently has a high wind watch in place and a freezing rain, sleet, and snow warning until Thursday morning.

so in all these “chance me’'s” people are listing long long lists of activities, which is great. But the common app only has space for 10 activities plus the few you could probably sneak into the essays. So how does having this extensive list really benefit chances? Just curious.

@2blackdogs what major are you applying for?

@anish567‌ but their hockey team though :D. I’ll definitely be at every home game if possible (if I get in…about that…).

I have no idea what my second choice school is. I’ve heard back from a few schools and will have to decide if I don’t get into Cornell. Probably gonna go with whichever offers the best FA.

Physics

@2blackdogs‌ I sent in a separate résumé, my portfolio (ILR likes art apparently?) and a minute long video about my work in Ghana that admissions told me they would review and consider along with my app. So yeah I think it helps a lot lol
