Official Cornell Class of 2019 Early Decision

Woaaaah @Dynamix34‌ Good luck! :-SS

70 students @Dynamix34‌?!

I am 1 of 2 students applying from my school. Class is 404 students.

@hopefulrm‌ @BPearlman97‌ @Ranyixin‌ It’s absolutely crazy where I come from haha

How big is your grade??

@jamesjunkers‌ It’s around 400

I’m assuming new York, based on the high number of apps? If so, where in?

There’s about 490 kids in my grade. Not sure on how many are applying to cornell though.

My D’s senior class has 96 students and 67 applied ED. Two or three of the 67 applied to Cornell, including my D.

Hmmm … the day I decide to finally join CC (and not merely watch from the sidelines), the server starts sputtering :neutral_face:

Wondering if I should ask the customary “when do the decisions come out” newcomer question :slight_smile: But then, I already know, and I can’t wait. This is killing me. Whew.

So nervous right now. Are the acceptance rates for international students lower?

I just checked last years acceptance stats of my school, only 1 person got into Cornell in a class size of about 530…

My Naviance stats for last year say 30 applied, 10 admitted, 7 enrolled (class size of 250)

At my school last year, 3 people applied (in a class size of 30 I think) and 1 got admitted. But she got deferred ED and then waitlisted and then accepted last minute. And she’s at Cornell now.

It’s so scary to think that in exactly one week it’ll either be the happiest day or the saddest day.

my school is in the mid 500s and I think I’m the only one who applied ED to Cornell

what pull do you guys think ethnicity and first generation have on your decision?

My school has mid 200s but only 3 applied ED

@alyzahq‌ : depends on which ethnicity I suppose. A ND 1st generation college or American?

@autumn97 hispanic and first generation college goer
