True, I guess I forgot everyone doesn’t live on the east coast :D

deleted

@screenlooker ah okay thanks!

@superdub lol yeah two concerts two meets and two tests…you think we should skip?

@Autumn97 nah, if i get rejected, imagine having to make up all of that work

oh woops i live on west coast so it’ll be 2pm for me

and it’ll be 2AM for me

I may or may not have a test, my teachers know that thursday is a big day for me, so they said they will try to not have a test on friday, if there is a test, i may skip some individual classes, but not the whole day

@santaman1 yeah then yes!

Can we not call the school and find out earlier?

I’ve been following this thread since almost the beginning but I’ve stopped commenting recently. As the notification date draws closer, I find myself less nervous than I could have imagined. I’ve come to realize that we really have no idea whether or not we will get in and it’s best to not think about it until 5 pm EST Thrsday. Focus on some other things and the time will fly. Some lives will be changed when that day comes but for the most of us, we will just have to move on and find another school to fall in love with. Good luck to everyone and best wishes.

@superdub true dat

So I live in NYC and was driving back to my apartment and right in front of our car is a Cornell bus… Fate?!

A close friend (international) recently received an email requesting his passport details and parent tax documents. He applied for aid, does this mean anything?

For the three hundreth time, financial aid and admissions are completely separate. Aid is calculated for all students, regardless of if they are getting accepted or not.

Does everybody realize that statistically only 30% of us are going.

I doubt this is statistically valid, but I feel like more than 30% of us might get in. We’re on this forum because we care immensely about getting in and im sure it showed in our essays and maybe even our recc’s. There are kids applying ED who honestly dont care too much, and that will also show in their essays.

Edit: Not necessarily 30%, but whatever the ED acceptance rate is

@acdc1272, exactly. I wish there were statistics on CC acceptance rates vs general, but I’d venture to say it’s probably around 10% higher on average.

so I was doing my data ISU and I had to calculate the correlation coefficient on excel. The command to do so is “CORELL” does this mean I am getting “N” ?

Especially since people on CC tend to have higher stats, i wouldn’t be surprised if the percent was somewhat higher…

but i don’t think there’s many people however who just apply ed for the heck of it.
