Official Cornell Class of 2019 Regular Decision Applicants!!!!!

I haven’t heard anything from Cornell except recent emails reminding me to check status. Saw on this forum many people already know they got accepted. Does that mean basically we would expect all rejections tomorrow? Though I expected, just curious. I really don’t like their practice of letting some people know in advance and keep others in the dark. Why not let everyone know since the decision already made?

@AMH2015‌ many people are hearing via likely letters about their acceptances, only some people receive these likely letters though, if they are exceptional applicants or athletes, etc. Most people do not receive one-- so don’t be worried! Good luck!!

This has absolutely nothing to do with Cornell, but @indorilnerevar‌ deserves infinite likes for that username alone.

Morrowind is THE BEST game of all time, easily.

Chance me: CALS applicant, 780 Math, 650 CR, 710 Writing, 730 Math II Sub, 700 Physics Sub.
Originally deferred ED, but provided additional letters of recommendation & updates on grades.
Thx.

Does Cornell really consider deferred ED applicants?

I’m just hoping for the best!

no you can’t be accepted by both your first and second (alternate) college at cornell. your alternate college/school only sees your application (and reads your essay) if and when you get rejected by your primary college. both the primary and alternate college can read both your essay, though! so they can see if you merely cut and pasted.

yes, each college has its own admission committees, and they can see whether you wrote two separate (or similar) essays.

I am CHE applicant. I am a male, Korean and currently go to Bronx Science
I have 660 Reading 770 Math 680 Writing
I also have 800 math II and 700 chemistry
Do you guys think I have a chance for human ecology?

@IULover‌ Hey, fellow Korean! I think your score comes within the range, though reading and writing scores seem bit lower. Everyone here has a chance no matter what, and you just have to wait for tomorrow. Good luck!

IULover, you probably have better sense of your chances than anyone reading your post. BXsci sends lots of kids to Cornell so your Naviance gives you a good sense what your chances are.

@SarasaClip‌ yes. At first I thought I didn’t have any chance of getting accepted through RD after being deferred. And I learned that I got accepted a few weeks ago through the diversity hosting invitation.

Hey everyone! I know the nerves are through the roof.
I was accepted a few weeks ago to CAS, so I’m just dropping in to wish everyone the best of luck tomorrow!
I can’t wait to meet you all on campus next year:)

I remember the 24 hrs before decisions very vividly! Good luck you guys! It’ll be alright and don’t stress

*I know I pretty much just asked you to do the impossible.

I know there’s literally no chance that I will get accepted but part of me wants to keep the tiniest bit of my hopes up

How much emphasis is put on subject SATs?

I am now repeatedly kicking myself for applying to CALS AEM when I could’ve applied for Economics in CAS. 7% acceptance rate last year for AEM!

@Dhruv97‌ I’m not entirely sure how they evaluate them, but you need to at least submit them, if required.

Can’t wait to apply ED later this year

@0br0123‌ I should have applied ED, but Cornell wasn’t my first choice until December.
