Official Cornell Class of 2019 Regular Decision Applicants!!!!!

@justinn76‌ They’re probably on break. As long as you submitted before the deadline you should be fine. I wouldn’t worry yet!

Does anyone know the specifics about admissions? Like do they view your app with people at your school (consecutively or something) or do they just view your app randomly out of people applying to the same school in Cornell…(hope it’s the second one lol… probably too many good people with way less interest applying from my school to engineering, while I’m doing CAS)

@awesomekid: Admissions for the different colleges/schools of Cornell are done on a completely separate basis. If 50 kids from your high school applied, and 49 of them applied to CoE, and you are the only one who applied to CAS, you are reviewed by a completely separate admissions team than the other 49. This is because the different colleges/schools all have different requirements (SAT II’s, Interviews, Supplements, Essays, etc.).

Thanks for answering! Even though they’re on break, couple schools downloaded my application the next day. And I’m screwd because I submitted the wrong draft for the alternate choice…with 4-6 obvious mistakes. I’ll just take it as rejected.

@jamesjunkers‌ Yesss okay thanks! I hope all of them applied to something else…or else I may not have a chance lol.

Hey guys, did anybody check their application status yet? According to their list, I have checks next to my common app and my SAT scores meaning that it’s been received by the office. However, the titles under common app such as high school transcript and recommenders do not have checks next to them. This is atypical because that stuff is supposed to be inclusive with the application itself, right? How can they not receive it? Please respond, I’m so worried!

@Chrisc3chau, If you see “Recommendations and FEPRA” and other main tabs not having checks, the common app must be acting weird. It should be okay if you see “downloaded.” Just contact the them to make sure?..

Guys, I see that my common app was downloaded today (1/05)
Those who applied on the last day (or maybe 2 days before) is that the same downloaded date for you?

@liinaa‌ Yup! Same date for me, and I applied on the last day.

@Chrisc3chau‌ Wait are you talking about on your portal… I think it’ll just take some time for them to update

@chrisc3chau: If your school uses Naviance, they may not have sent it yet. No worries. Your common app and supplement needs to be submitted by the deadline of Jan 2, but your GC stuff like transcript, recs can follow. Just make sure that you check with your GC to make sure they were sent. On Naviance, you can check to see if the transcript and recs were sent (at least my D could when she logged into Naviance). Also make sure your official test scores are sent as well.

It takes a few days for admissions to upload all the stuff to your account, but just stay on top of it.

Has anyone received an email from Cornell yet?

CALS applicant here!

I haven’t either and I applied on CA on the 30th.

To all those who have received their log in details, does the checklist appear when you click on ‘check application status’?

All that shows on mine is my name and the college I applied to. So, I was wondering if I did something wrong?

Does anyone know about how long we should expect an admissions decision by if we applied regular decision on CA?

@GOrioles, end of March - I believe Ivy decision day is around the 28th

@GOrioles‌ the latter part of March

Are people getting login details for Cornell? I’m applying to the CAS and I haven’t got mine yet…

I didn’t get mine either.

I think I might just save myself some extra stress and psychological investment and just go to UT. This ish cray
