Is there a such thing as an early rejection notice? Because I think I got one…

@APushed96 what did it say???

No one’s heard about architecture right? I scrolled through the past few pages and didn’t see anything. This wait man, too much!

When I wanted to add something about starting a business, they said: “Our decisions for the application are
now finalized. Given the current status of your application, we will not reconsider any final decision.”

I got rejected from every school I applied to. Even safeties. And at that rate, I might as well give up on any far fetched schools I applied to, especially given the tone of the message.

@APushed96
I would not read too much into it! You never know what they mean by “current status.” For all you know, you could have been accepted or waitlisted!

@APushed96 how did you try and add something? upload documents?

@apushed96

Though I understand your anxiety (I would probably crap myself if I was sent that at this point) I think you shouldn’t read too much into it. At 7 days before the final decisions are out, it certainly seems as though they would have gotten through a majority of applications. It likely means they have already made their decision and aren’t going back - that doesn’t indicate rejection. Why would they look over your app again, even if you were accepted?

@APushed96, Maybe you got accepted, and they’re saying that there’s no point in reconsidering?

How did you try to add something? Via phone, email etc?

I tried adding stuff through my interviewer. I would think that if I got accepted, the tone of the email would be more light hearted. The interviewer really wanted me to get in, but at the end of the day, it is not going to happen.

The interviewer told admissions what I wanted to be added, but that was the response he had received. I rarely am explicit, but I am f**ked

deleted lol

We were told there would be a period of time that we would not be allowed to communicate. Maybe that is all it is

@APushed96
Seriously stop, don’t push yourself into a self destructive state of mind, it is unproductive and will only cause you pain. I would advise you not to take it as an “we already accepted you” as some posters are saying, but do not take it as an “we already denied you” either. I firmly believe going into it expecting either one is a bad idea - you’re sabotaging your state of mind expecting to be denied and you’re only hyping yourself up expecting an acceptance. Just wait. It sucks. But wait.

@APushed96 you might have actually gotten in though - they might be giving you a hint because they are not going to send likely letters to everyone! I mean if you are rejected or waitlisted it makes sense for them to consider the new info. but if you were accepted there is no point in reviewing the information, if you know what i mean Curious to know if my interpretation is right. But, again I might be totally wrong because they phrased it carefully by saying “any final decision.”

Just don’t give up hope, it sounds like admission people to be cryptic and ambiguous.

@mistanervous, I wasn’t advising him to assume that he’d been accepted. I was just trying to show him that it didn’t mean he was rejected either.

@APushed96 I’ll be honest it could be bad or neutral, but atleast you know the committee has made a decision. Good luck to everyone got my acceptance last Friday!

@APushed96 don’t be discouraged! the message just meant that it’s too late now to add anything to your application. i thought its tone was very neutral, so don’t lose hope.

and try not to be too bummed out! maybe it’s fate’s way of telling you that the colleges/unis you were rejected from were places that would not suit you, or bring out the best in you. please take care of yourself ):

Apushed96: They make decisions much before the release date, because they need time to calculate financial aid packages for those who need it. So I’m pretty sure decisions have been made, which is why they won’t take additional info right now (maybe later if you get waitlisted).

Hey guys, do you think interviewers know decisions before us? could I e-mail mine to ask
