<p>Do you guys have any tips for writing. I know all the rules and get decent essay scores (10) but I am always looming around 700. I feel like there are always a couple that don’t test the traditional SAT grammar concepts.</p>
<p>When’s the last time CB did anything traditionally?

<p>@thegrant, you must be like me - it looks like you will go through threads and like everybody’s posts. I had a thread that got featured for awhile (the one on General Eds) and I would like everybody’s posts whether I agreed with them or not for the first several pages. After awhile it got too hard to do that though because there are sooooo many posts. </p>
<p>also i got a 9 on my essay this time but i took the sat in 7th grade for cty and got a 10…pretty sure the essay graders are pretty arbitrary about this. also shows how much i know about what they want us to write</p>
<p>@canunot Yeah, you have to buy it while signing up online. I did for my first test, but didn’t worry about in Nov. because no matter what that was my last try. </p>

<p>To everyone who mentioned the QAS, I’m pretty sure there is no QAS for this test. QAS are only for 3 tests out of the year, but I’m not sure which 3, so I might be wrong.</p>

I’m pretty sure that score was also curved. You didn’t miss 20. </p>

You likely got about 9-10 wrong. (I calculated that from your 600, 60/80, 8 essay score, and the fact that there are just over 40 MC questions).</p>
