There’s the princeton review book (yellow book). People most commonly use the blue book (CB book) and yellow book. You just need to make sure you know all the rules, so don’t just use up the tests too quickly.

@lolalollipop
That’s still a pretty good score. Good job!

760 CR
660 M
710 W

1420/2130!

I am really happy with this score. I didn’t expect my CR and W to boost so much when I was trying to focus on getting my math up. I am now DONE WITH THE SAT. Congrats everyone else, especially those of you who are now done too.

@TheDidactic
Congratulations!

It looks like the majority of us on this thread got a score we’re happy with.

Good luck to those of you taking it again.

@thegrant Well one thing I’ve learned in my life is the bitter taste of disappointment can ignite motivation. So yeah I’m going to kill this sh!t in the future, but I’m probably going to try to get a good ACT score first.

Wait if there’s no Q&A service this month, then what did i pay an extra $14 for? LOL

Yeah I did. What’s the point of having it though? Am I going to get the actual test booklet with the questions back?

@RHSclassof16 just reading that was motivational lol — “If you can take it you can make it” (the new movie, Unbroken lol)

@juniorneedshelp
There’s really no point. It does provide the “area” and “difficulty” of the question you got wrong, so I suppose it could help you focus on the types of questions that you need to focus on.

You don’t get the actual questions back.

:( not happy with my score:

CR: 690
M: 720 (i only omitted one but mustve gotten alot more wrong than i thought)
W: 800 - 12 essay (im surprised i got a 12…)

have to take again sadly…trying to get over 2300

What would you guys suggest for improving vocab? Barron’s? Kaplan? Something else?

I wish I knew that before I even bought it. That’s not going to be that helpful to me… haha well thanks for all the answers! Congrats on all of your scores guys :)

@lolalollipop
There are plenty of vocab lists online, if you can make them work. I feel like paying for vocab lists/cards are a waste of money. I’m not good at memorization, though, so they didn’t help me. They could help you.

@juniorneedshelp
Well there’s always the possibility that everything you got wrong was from one subject area, suggesting you just didn’t know it, so the next time, when you know it, you’ll get a perfect score. Good luck if you’re taking again.

Thanks @Woandering

LOL, my vocab is not that high and I didn’t do much to study it, so I always just omit the last couple vocab questions on the SAT. I knew I would never get an 800 doing that, but I was really happy that I got a 700 on CR the second time around.

@albert69 that sounds like a good strategy that i should have used lol
@lolalollipop i heard that direct hits has good vocab words (i didnt use it tho)

I remember there are people that put about 400-500 words and definitions straight from that on Quizlet that you can study from

For those of you who feel like complaining about a 2200 or think that they have to retake it:

Stfu 2200+ is good enough for pretty much every college in the United States (or abroad) so don’t complain. The range between 2200-2400 isn’t huge and colleges know that and will consider most people in that range around the same. Stop complaining.

Amen to that, @johnnyisgod.

you shouldn’t be so rude when you don’t even know the circumstances of myself or others. For my i NEED that 2300 because my GPA isn’t good and I can’t afford college without a VERY generous scholarship. This comment was obviously directed to me and sure others above.
