Well maybe I’m not as intellectual as you are, but I think it just goes to show, you shouldn’t be so derogatory and critical about other people you don’t know. I’m sorry, I just had to say this. But I think that my art slides and resume also helped A LOT! As for my school grades and teacher recs, even though they are good, I think other applicants probably have that going for them anyway since UoC applicants are a self-selected pool.</p>[/li]

<p>i wrote the free topic. it was about my curious propensity for constantly falling down and physically injuring myself at all important events in my life. in retrospect i think it wasn’t deep enough, that’s why i actually thought (after my 4 rejections) that i most certainly would not get into uchicago. but i did and am thrilled…:):):)</p>
