They’ll get it together this year. We will all know by the 15th

i think its absolutely ridiculous that the michigan admission office hasnt come out with all their decisions yet…pretty much every other college has already. i’ve been waiting since i was deferred EA in december and still haven’t gotten a decision. Im done waiting, I got into USC last week so looks like im gonna be a trojan
Good luck to everyone else

If I want to send in a continued letter of interest, does anyone know where I should e-mail the letter to?

@salmon - congrats on USC - great school! I agree that this waiting is totally ridiculous and rude. Michigan is a wonderful school but their admission’s process is really leaving a bad impression on us. I was really hoping my son would hear soon, but even if it’s a “yes” (which I doubt) we just don’t have time to fly out there and visit at this point.

Good Luck to everyone else - especially those kids that have Michigan as their top choice.

Just logged into WA and it wasn’t really working and once I got in there was an application for summer 2012. Anyone know what’s going on?

Nhlallstar, my son e-mailed his letter of continued interest to his regional counselor, and he found out who that was on the website.

From what a friend told me, her son received a similar notice on WA and after calling U of M, found that if her son went to summer school and did so successfully, he was admitted in the Fall.

^ Anteater, WA functions within certain operation hours. Otherwise it will be under maintenance.

Seems like UM doesn’t seem to have put in any significant effort to improve their admissions process despite student complaints during the past few years…I don’t know why, but the exact same thing happens over and over again → students wait it out, desperately hoping for a positive outcome, but are disappointed in the end. UM says they will release a decision by a certain date, but fail to meet that deadline.

UM is a great school, but I think it feels that it can afford to do what it’s doing, i.e. string students along and know that there will always be students wanting to go to UM no matter what. It doesn’t really seem to matter to them if some students complain, because there will always be others who will wait it out.

Yeah I know it has hours of operation but the real point was the summer 2012 application showing up.

Did you apply for summer? Or did they just offer that to you??

Just showed up, I didn’t apply for it.

A similar thing happened to another person in one of the threads. You just have to attend the summer class for enrollment into the fall.

Aye I’ll take it however I get it. Getting in is all that matters

Where to you see the summer thing
In WA?

That’s weird though, did you indicate anywhere on your application that you’re considering summer course? I don’t see why they would randomly ask some applicants to study during the summer for enrollment in Fall.

The only difference for me is that there are a TON of new FA links that weren’t there yesterday… There isn’t any information when I click the links, but they’re there. Still no decision… :(

I noticed the same Financial aid links on mine! I’m reeeeally curious about this summer program. It’s obvs an invite thing, but I’d do it in a heartbeat.

yeah i have the new financial aid links too

Oh what financial aid links are you referring to?

Some girl on 2014 had the same exact thing happen to her. I think I’m in!
