Is the admissions office open on good friday?

Oh, right. So they probably won’t release any decisions this weekend. I HIGHLY doubt they’re open… Just kidding.

Well if not Friday, then can we hope for Thursday?

I really think it’s going to be the end of next week when the final wave begins.

Yeah, which doesn’t leave NEARLY enough time for making a decision… :/

Mmmmm… At this point I’m pretending I’m rejected/waitlisted… Don’t want to wait anymore ![]()
Even if I’m accepted, I’ll probably end up going to one of the other schools that already accepted me.

I think Michigan needs to hire more admissions officers or something… I think schools should all release by April 1st. Period.

Well historically speaking, didn’t they send out a wave at the end of this week last year? So I can only hope

Guys, I just spoke to them and they’ll be open this Friday. Gah, which means more waiting for us.

Reading past year threads on admissions decisions is extremely depressing. Last year, students were first told they were going to receive decisions by 15th April. UM then extended the date to 22nd April. In the end, some applicants received decisions on 30th April itself. Most of these people who heard back in April were waitlisted. Only a select few actually got accepted.

Hearing back on April 30th?? How in the world are students supposed to decide where to attend at that point? I really hope it won’t be the same this year…

I don’t know, I’ve already started to lose hope, but if we don’t hear back within the next week or so, I’m just giving up. This is absolutely ridiculous and so inconsistent.

So my GC called my admissions rep on Monday and she got back to him I think this morning saying I will get a response by the end of the week… Look at last years thread is this a good or bad thing??? (of course it’s good because I will get a reposes but will I get accepted ??)

I don’t know what to make of it cause last year, they sent out a wave around this time with mixed responses (acceptances, rejections and waitlist)

Do you think the admissions rep would response if it was good or bad news either way?

No, decisions in April last year mostly started coming out on 15th April. There was no wave during the week of 2-6 April. There were hardly any acceptances when the decisions came out. Don’t know about this year.

So we should all be expecting a rejection in that case? Just to keep our expectations low

We should expect nothing and just wait

There’s always a chance, no matter how small it may be, I suppose.

Just chatted with the admissions department online and Leanne stated that they expect all decisions to be out by mid-April. She also responded to my question re any admitted students or mainly waitlist and rejections as follows " Michigan Undergraduate Admissions is still offering admissions to applicants." Some hope still.

Damn I wish I would have cared about school freshman year, so I wouldn’t have to be in this situation and could be admitted by now.

My worry is that they will delay decisions like they did for the past few years, despite telling students that the ‘latest’ date by which they’ll receive their decisions is mid-April.
