OFFICIAL Deferred Class of 2017

they said that there were no plans to release today(yesterday when I asked), but they were aiming for end of march release, so next week is very possible

@faiintx Thanks for info! Did you by chance find out whether they still had many spots left or not?

Anyone here accepted to UCLA? I was admitted yesterday!!

I was! Don’t really care about Michigan now lol

Me neither haha. I’m really disappointed with Michigan for handling decisions so poorly. California here I come!!

I… sorta wish I had applied to UCLA back in the day. Then again, I’m out of state, it would have cost a ton and I probably wouldn’t have traveled from Michigan all the way to California for college anyways. :P

End of March? Alright, let’s do this.

some acceptances went out today!

(not mine though)

@volleyball51 Will U of M will release some of the decisions on a Sunday?

I would assume that these people have had the decision on WA and the email went out today, I’m not sure though. Two girls from my school that were deferred jsut got accepted.

Frustration can’t even describe how I’m feeling right now. Although Im extremely happy to hear about others being admitted, I wish I could get my acceptance letter as well. Like everyone else here, I applied in October and its ridiculous to not have some sort of decision by March 24th. There isnt a single day that goes by that I don’t think about my deferral from Michigan and this “by early April” response has given me so much anxiety. Almost every single one of my friends was accepted to UofM and they have absolutely no idea what it feels like to go through this torture. I’m sure 95% of the people participating in this forum are feeling the same way and I just thought I would share this to let you know that you are not alone…and you have not gone mentally insane.

@soccerqueen, I know exactly how you feel, having lived the same thing last year. I’m sorry you are still waiting, with so many others. And yes, every time some are accepted, of course you’re happy for them, but disappointed for yourself. April 5th was the date my son got his acceptance last year.

We had been at a party with my son’s classmates and parents and I was complaining to my friends that son had not yet heard from U of M - how could they not accept him? He was a perfect fit - academically and otherwise! Other schools accepted him right away and gave him generous scholarships - why was he still waiting? That night we got home late and my son checked his WA for the thousandth time - and there it was - his decision. He was afraid to open it - what if it wasn’t an acceptance? Thank God it was…first word being “Congratulations!”

I wish everyone still waiting could receive an acceptance, but realistically, Michigan just doesn’t have enough spots. For those who are accepted, congratulations - you will love Michigan! For those waitlisted or rejected, pick another school where you will be happy. And if you find yourself still pining for Michigan next year, then apply as a transfer student - Michigan takes a lot of transfers. Wishing all of you still waiting …an acceptance soon. :)

The wait is not what’s getting me right now, it’s my growing feeling of incompetence…

@OttawacountyAl, you ARE competent! Whether Michigan takes you or not…

important question: does the financial aid information only come up for admitted students or everyone under wolverine access?

I have been waiting since october 20th for a decision and i’m getting really mad i’m about to punch a hole in my gd laptop

Edit: this was supposed to be in all caps but CC censored my anger

ALSO. a lot of people have been saying that a majority of admission spots were given to EA applicants… how could they know this? has anyone’s counselor gotten an email that says that or something? and do you know approximately how many applicants UM waitlists?

my wolverine access has a link that says “application status” but it doesnt really say anything other than my name and my app id. does everyone have that?

Do the financial aid links on Wolverine Access only show up for admitted students or all students?
