Thank you sportsmom :)

@soccerqueen…it could happen to you too…people will still be accepted in the next couple of weeks!

Regarding recent questions, FA info shows up for anyone who applied for it, so it has no bearing on your acceptance decision.

Many students are waitlisted at Michigan, as they are at other schools. Don’t know exact numbers, but I’d guess a few thousand. I tried to pull up U of M’s Common Data set, which provides some of this info, but my computer is not cooperating, so you can try googling it. In the admissions section, it gives then number of applicants, acceptances, waitlists, etc. Also, you can check the Waitlist thread from last year at U of M…it doesn’t sound like many students come off of the waitlist, except for the student who recorded the Jackson 5 song pleading for an acceptance. The video went viral and he was ultimately accepted, but I’m not recommending recording a song/video to beg for a spot.

My son’s Wolverine Access had links to Financial Aid and Scholarship stuff long before he was admitted. I would click on them, hoping to have discovered a back door way of finding out that he had been admitted. But they contained no information about anything.

I keep resisting the urge to tell everyone to “Hang in there!” because I know that’s not helpful. But I wish there was some way to express how very much I’m rooting for everyone still waiting to hear… and how very much I understand how you are feeling.

Sportsmom, God bless you for still posting here a year later! Your reassurances that your son didn’t get his good news until April were what kept me sane all of this month. Thank you!

@VillageMom, thank you! I just remember only too well how you all are feeling - how hard it is to wait - I’ve tried to offer words of encouragement and support.

The reality is students are still be accepted and will be accepted through early April. So until you hear, there IS a chance you will still be accepted. If it happened for my son, it can happen for any of you. Best to you all.

Is there any chance they’ll send them out Monday, or is next Friday the best bet?

Is there anyway to upload an update letter on wolverine access. I know that it is extremely close to the notification date, but I am so so nervous after my recent results. Has there ever even been an upload option on WA for that action, or should I sent it by email?

ajoo95 - you can contact your admissions counselor with a letter of interest. Here is a link to your counselor - [The Admissions Team | University of Michigan Office of Admissions](http://www.admissions.umich.edu/admissions-team-0)

Here is a follow-up note from admissions:

“You are more than welcome to submit any new and compelling information such as mid-year grades, new test scores, etc. You can send that information to ecredentials@umich.edu and it will be added to your file and considered as we make our final admissions decision.”

I would contact the admissions officer just to see what kind of response you get from them.

Thanks a lot beechw00d and soccerqueen, I contacted my admissions officer earlier and he was very conducive to accepting them. Thanks again, you guys were very helpful. Fingers crossed.

I’ve been checking WA pretty much every day.

Sending decisions out before Spring Break would either make that week amazing or absolutely terrible.

My friend heard on Saturday, so decisions must be slowly leaking out. Hang in there guys!

Hoping for the best :(

two things…

1) does umich tend to leave a lot of rejections towards the end? or waitlisted? has anyone heard anyone being waitlisted so far? (sorry if this has been asked before)

2) do you guys feel like they’re trying to move away from rolling decisions? i feel like in the next few years umich will be an april 1st school

@littlemeow, you can check the Deferred thread from last year and read through how decisions rolled out on the weekend of April 5, 2012. I don’t want to discourage anyone still waiting. Of students still waiting at this point last year, there were acceptances, so that’s what you should focus on. Stay positive and have hope. The acceptances came out first in a big wave on Friday, then the waitlists and rejections over the weekend. Anecdotaly, there seemed to be more waitlists than rejections, but rejected students might not post that information here.

Regarding the rolling decision question, the past few years Michigan has always sent out a mass of decisions in early April. They did it last year and looks like it could happen this year, although who knows…maybe they will come out this week. But last year, the this thread is almost identical to the posts this year - everyone frustrated and angry for having to wait this long, admissions stating late March and it went into April. Some students get their decisions in December or January or February, but for most, we just have to wait until they release them, whether it’s this week or next.

Trust me, if you receive an acceptance, you will be thrilled and pain of waiting will quickly fade. Hang in there!!

Called my admissions officer and she told me that she had already sent my app to the faculty committee.

I had an NHS advisor from my school write me a recommendation letter. It was absolutely perfect and she said such kind words about me. My admissions officer emailed her back saying he had received her recommendation, and thanked her for taking the time to write it. He also said the letter will help tremendously with their decision. Did he say that just to get the email off his plate or did he really mean it? (My gpa and act aren’t as high as some of the other applicants on here.)

/\ I don’t think the Admissions team is particularly warm and fuzzy so a nice thing like what was said about the NHS letter should be very encouraging. Good luck!!!

Sounds like a great thing, thegr3atest!
