I’m getting so excited!!! But so nervous…

^^I know, it’s finally December! In less than three weeks, you’ll know your fate. I can’t believe we’ll have an answer soon, after so many years of hoping…

So jealous of you guys! I sent mine in RD so I still have 4 months of waiting!! u just wanna know now!

Good luck to everyone the applied EA though! Hope you all get in!

Goooo Irishhh! We beat SC!! :)

Less than two weeks from now I’m going to be glued to my mailbox lol This is so much more exciting than I even dreamed it would be! But the anticipation is killing me…

Did any of you apply early anywhere else?

Yup! Georgetown and a safety, Fordham. You?

So, did everyone get the “The Value of a Notre Dame Education” booklet in the mail today?

Why do they tease us so???

@vanillachai I already got into Indiana U which was my huge safety and I applied to UChicago and UMich. Yeah, I know I’m a traitor
But I live in Ann Arbor so I kind of had to apply lol ND is definitely my top choice though!

@gal1234 I got one of those too!

They should start sending out decisions around the 15th right? Didn’t they do that last year?

The next two weeks are going to seem like an eternity. …

Also applied ED to Hillsdale, Catholic University of America and Carroll College. Already accepted at Carroll.

Applying RD to Princeton, Harvard, Dartmouth.

So tired of these apps and essays!!!

Me too! I still have 2 more RD supplements left

Are any of you guys applying for the Hesburgh-Yusko Scholarship?

besides ND, I applied EA to Villanova, College of Charleston, Washington College, and University of South Carolina. I’m applying RD to Princeton, Brown, and Vanderbilt. Already accepted into Washington College (small private college in my home state of MD)

that “value of a notre dame education” booklet was kind of annoying to recieve, but I basically spent an hour paging through it anyway. i just want my descision!! haha ;)

I am applying for the Hesburgh Yusko scholarship as well, Princetongirl93!

i’m applying for the hesburgh yusko too ![]()
does anyone know more or less how many people applied last year?

^Between 400 and 600 applied, and that was the scholarship’s very first year. My guess is that there will be even more people applying this year for those 25 spots.

What day does ND mail out the decisions?

I think they mail them out around the 15th judging from last years posts. It seems like most people received their letters on the 16th, 17th, or 18th depending on where in the country they live. Hopefully they will be sending them out a little early this year
I hope they do anyway… haha

@princetongirl
I’m applying for Hesburgh-Yusko as well… good luck all!

My RD schools are UChicago, Georgetown, HYP, UPenn, and Tufts, as well as safeties BU and Stevens.

Just a little over a week!

Hey everyone! I can’t believe we find out in a little over a week! Best wishes to everyone!

I’m also applying for the hesburgh scholarship!

My other schools are…

Princeton, Yale, Columbia, Duke, Northwestern, GW, Georgetown, Vanderbilt, Stanford, and WashU and I applied to and got into SLU last week!

1- what exact date do we find out
2- how are we notified

ND only does mail notification and there isn’t really an exact date I can tell you but judging from threads past it should be some time between the 16th and the 18th depending on where you live.

If you all our going EA then you should have a very good understanding of what the admission process is at ND. If you are really competitive at the Ivy league schools and most of you (if not all) appear to be candidates to apply for hesburgh yusko in this post - you have a very good chance of admission at ND. The family of Notre Dame is searching for students who are passionate about the University. Our freshman son was not someone who had the caliber of your educational abilities ie. SAT’s of 1400 or 1500 or ACT’s of 34 or above. He was however a motivated kid who loved and desired the chance to become a student at Notre Dame. His work ethic and passion for ND got him there. Daniel Saracino, the admissions provost and now retired, stated last year that the first criteria looked at by ND was strength of curriculm - “did you apply yourself to the most rigorous academic schedule you could obtain at your high school?” AP and honors classes put you at a certain admissions level…service to community and the passion to attend Notre Dame are next in line. You have to love the place to thrive there. After 2 months on the wait-list our son is ready to finish his 1st semester at his dream school…He is truly living his dream.

Congrats to your son, West. What a great story! I hope he has a wonderful four years there.
