Official EA 2010 Stress-Out Thread

I hope they mailed the decisions today!

Nothing was in the mail for STL  I’m hoping tomorrow we will find out!

Breathe deep and best wishes everyone! I feel your pain. I remember it too well, and S is now a ND Sr. He applied RD. He got into several great schools EA, but all he really wanted was ND. It was a l-o-n-g spring. ND was the last of 10 schools to reply, and the only one not to use electronic notification. He rec’d his packet the Friday of his spring break. Most of you in the northern 1/2 of Indiana will receive ND mail the day after mailing.

Congrats to those of you accepted and good wishes for those who pursue opportunities elsewhere. I know what ND means to most of you, but with two S now in college, I truly believe there is more than one place for everyone. If you are at ND’s competitive level, you can thrive at any school in this country.

Nothing in Michigan yet… I did however get a Christmas card in a white 8.5x11 envelope… Nearly gave me a heart attack!

I wish I hadn’t moved from Indiana. Now I am all the way across the country. :(

Good luck everybody!

Haha about the Christmas card! And thanks for the warning – I totally would have assumed it was a rejection or deferral letter.

Good luck to all! I know how you must be feeling~My daughter’s year someone from campus noted that admissions had a big mailing going out…we all figured out that it had to be the decision packets! Crazy, I know! Maybe someone can go stalk admissions? Should I have my daughter, who works as a tour guide go snooping around???

Seriously, I’m sure they are on their way~all good thoughts and peace to all!

News on campus is that decisions were sent out yesterday…

That makes me very happy but I can’t believe we haven’t heard from any of the kids who live close to campus

My grandparents met a Notre Dame recruiter at bingo or something yesterday, and he said that the decisions WERE in fact mailed out on the 15th. The regional recruiters were emailed the list of accepted students in their regions.

If I get the day off from school tomorrow, I am going to sit next to the mailbox all day until my letter comes. If it comes.

I have the day off and i am going to the post office to sit and wait. Dad had them hold our mail all week so that we could go up there early and check and not wait for the lady to bring the mail. Yes we are very anxious.

I’ll be praying all night for that letter! I’ll put a good word in for the rest of you guys too :)

“All I want for Christmas is… an acceptance letter from the University of Notre Dame!” Please and thank you Santa. :)

Since decisions do [most likely] start coming out today, I just wanted to wish everybody luck!

ND sends out a lot of deferrences, so don’t get down if you were beyond qualified and didn’t get accepted, that big letter will probably be in your mailbox come early April (hopefully one for me too then!)

Go Irish! Go Adcoms!

There is no letter here for me. This just means another sleepless night tonight. I am in mid/southern Illinois.

It’s only 1050…mail doesn’t even come until 1/2

Yeah, my mail hasn’t arrived yet.

I’m just hoping the extra seasonal employees at USPS make my letter arrive faster. Is two days unreasonable for it to get to Georgia? I guess I’ll know soon enough.

Well I am in so. Illinois and if they mailed it on the 15th then it has taken two days and I still don’t have it, but I could just be unlucky.

Golf, I’m in the same area you are but haven’t gotten my mail yet. I’m hoping you’re just unlucky and I get something in the mail. :P
