<p>I think I didn’t get in because my common app essay seems like someone trying to get into a design program (I’d really like to go to CMU’s School of Design). That might just be me saying that, my English teacher and guidance councilor said it was fine as a general essay.</p>
<p>There are a few other things that could have been factors, but applying undecided seems to make the most sense. I did have an issue with a class that I ended up switching out of, so they may have been interested in seeing what happened with that.</p>
<p>I’m not too broken up about it because it was a deferral and not a denial, and I got into another school today that I’m pretty happy with. </p>
