because i’m not going unless i get into the honors program

what state?

connecticut

I think NU includes whether or not you are accepted into its Honors program.

My decision letter came with the notification of Honors Program acceptance.

grats to all who got accepted!

@Maine930, when we went to Open House, the head of the P/T program told us they expected at least 15 applicants for each spot this year, if not more. Knew right there it wasn’t happening, lol. DD fell in love with the school and I told her she could waste one application fee on one big reach and this was it. To answer your other question about how much interest we showed, we toured once, went to Open House once, dd met with adcom who came to her HS and she visited their booth twice at college fairs. So far tonight, we know of one other girl from her class who got in–not sure what her intended major is. Good luck!

i dont understand why i wouldn’t get honors but get get a larger amount of money than those who got honors? confused…

but my friend goes there now and her decision letter didnt say honors but she ended up being in it and her scholarship went up from 10,000 a year to FULL PAID!

Sorry, but I don’t understand… what is so good about NU’s honor program?

How did it go from 10,000/year to full ride? Is this from financial need-based aid?

Can your merit scholarship amount change?

its an overall amazing program.
better housing too

and i would feel overqualified for the regular (not being a *****) because NU is my backup.

no, they alter your scholarship once they see the RD pool. merit scholarship goes up

she didnt qualify for financial aid (shes rich)

Yes I would think with those stats you’d be qualify for Honors although I don’t know much about NU and its Honors Program.

I would think you should be notified soon then.

yeah hopefully.
thanks! and good luck to all

my luck hasn’t been great so far…deferred from Johns Hopkins

are they still going to consider me for Early Action if I have not filled out the College Board CSS Financial Aid Profile thing? They sent me an email ago about it awhile ago and I didnt get time to do it. Therefore, are they just going to consider me for regular decision now?
