“I don’t really understand why some people would rather be rejected than deferred. Can someone enlighten me?”

I’m not so sure either. I would assume it’s because if you are deferred it only adds to the anxiousness of waiting for a reply and detracts from your focus towards other colleges. I’m no expert or anything though but it’s just a thought. (meaning I don’t want any sardonic comments about the invalidity of my post; people here tend to do that)

you go crazy about/ fall in love/ adore/ simply love a girl/guy that much that you practically write a poem about all of your feelings and recite it under their window surrounded by candles and with chocolate/beer in your hands… after that all you want is to know the answer: yes or no?! so you can either cry or laugh… but what if they just tell you: ok, wait a while, I’ll call you if I don’t find anyone better… !!!

if that happens, how can you not feel like ****?!?!

6 days would make friday if anything. And no it’s not official, people just see somebody float a rumor that it’s on the 11th and believe in it to no end. Like right now, I could say that somebody from Dartmouth heard somebody from Columbia think that the admissions were supposed to be out on DECEMBER 6TH, and everybody would latch on and go crazy.
