I would love to let my grades drop. Usually I’m a straight-A student, and I figure if I dont’ work as hard i might become a mixed A/B student. That’s definitely okay for college, right?

Sorry to interrupt the ABC talk everyone…
But WHY WHY WHY is my CSS/PROFILE still NOT RECIEVED??? It’s Thursday right? Does that mean I’ll have to write to the collegeboard and tell them to resend or something?

holy crap i just realised that results could be released like next weekekekekkekeke!!!

@ yescolumbia

Gah, I know! It is unbelievable how much time flies, though I must admit that I am definitely NOT having fun. Hopefully the wait will be worth it though.

To yescolumbia and everyone else: I wish you all the best of luck! Not everyone here may be up to Columbia’s usual standards (including me,) but I think the fact that we are posting on this thread is a testament to our dedication and desire to be at Columbia next year. If I was at all a religious person, I would probably be praying to god or some higher power that everyone on the Columbia ED board would get in; instead I’m opting for wishing at 11:11, on fallen eyelashes, and on “wish chips” (the ones that are bent over where one side touches the other.) I feel pretty ridiculous, but I know that admission to Columbia is often such a crapshoot anyway, so I figure it can’t hurt.

@roseknows

Have hope and confidence =)! You never know what Columbia wants in its cohort!

On another note… shouldn’t Columbia send us “notifications” of when the results will be released already?

Thanks, yescolumbia! I remain optimistic. :)

If I’m not mistaken, someone on this thread said that (according to the admissions office) we should be receiving an email on Monday notifying us of the official release date.

UPenn ED applicants are apparently receiving their decisions next Friday. Let’s hope we do too!

Not that it’s any indication, but my friend got an admissions decision from NYU already (this seems to be an anomaly though, way earlier than everyone else).

I’m more anxious than nervous. I’m still hopeful that I’ll get in, but rejection isn’t “too terrible” either. Honestly, the worst thing that could happen to me is I’ll be differed. It’s just awful. Both of my siblings were differed from there top choice schools too, and it’s pretty nasty.

I don’t really understand why some people would rather be rejected than deferred. Can someone enlighten me?
