<p>me neither, but i know that when im doing all the work after i get into college, ill be thinking “why the hell am i doing this” my guidance counselor shows us letters that students from my school have gotten from schools like columbia, nyu that have been sent to people who have had bad second semester grades. they demand a reason for it and if it isnt suffice, the person can have is admission rescinded in some cases or can be put on probation in others</p>
<p>What do they consider bad though? Dropping from straight As to straight Bs?</p>
<p>i would say definitely yes to that. they are looking for 4 year students, not 3 and a quarter. it is so imperative that you keep your gpa up.</p>
<p>my friend got into brown ED, but got a C as a quarter grade in physics…and they sent her a letter. her final grade for physics was, i think a B+</p>

<p>they got very ****ed off. the worst they can do is rescind admission, which has happened. or they can put you on probation, or do nothing. really depends on how bad the grade was and in what subject</p>

<p>Everything I’m reading on this board seems to indicate that we’ll get our decisions in an email or via a link to Columbia’s website. Is it certain that we won’t get letters first? </p>
<p>That is so depressing! I wish we could do this the old-fashioned way, when you got your letter in the mail and had time to mentally prepare yourself, sit down, and do the whole letter-opening ceremony.</p>

I’m a longtime lurker, infrequent poster. I go to a large public school in Texas, and I’m Asian and female.</p>

<p>Anyway, I applied ED to CC and I feel like I’m going to throw up every time I think about what that letter is going to tell me. GOOD LUCK TO EVERYBODY! God knows we all fear the same thing… and I wouldn’t want to wish it upon anybody.</p>
<p>i dont think dropping a few As to Bs is that bad. definitely NO Cs though. </p>
<p>blahh, i’m feeling a little lazy though. lol. i have no urge to study anymore…but at least my school is dumb and i can still maintain low As.</p>
