Official Early Decision Results Thread

I just heard that eight or nine kids from my school got in for ED. A couple of my friends got in. I will post their stats later.
Congrats to those accepted!

Chaz, can you elaborae some more on ur hook, and ur ECs…like science competions…school/county level or like Intel or Westinghouse?

SAT: 2250 (800 CR; 650 M; 800 W-11 essay)
SAT IIs: 670 Math IC; 710 US History; 720 Literature; 720 Chemistry

Executive Board Member of Caring Adolescents Reaching the Elderly organization; Layout Editor and Assistant Editor-in-Chief of school yearbook; nominated to be a member of school Kolbe Retreat Leadership Team and a Eucharistic Minister; Math Tutor (2x per week); lots of research; NYLF & NSLC on Medicine; Altar Serving for 10+ years; Flute player; Jiu jutsu for 8+ years; Hospital volunteering; Inducted into Quill & Scroll Honor Society for Journalism; Ranked 1 out of about 650 for 2003-2004 academic year

your ECs are incredible. I seriously don’t know why you did not get in, unless SATs are worth 70% (and i’d really hate to think that). Love your attitude, keep trying! =)

When will RD PLME applicants be informed of decisions?

March 29. Why would you be different? lol

lotus blossom you are godly… why didn’t you get in? haha that is ridiculous.

Aw, thanks lillynch! blush I wouldn’t say godly by any means, but I know I tried my best.

Incidentally, I ultimately wasn’t accepted to Brown or PLME; I’m going to the Siena/Albany Med program instead. I’m so excited!

Thanks to everyone on CC who helped me through the nightmarish application process.

and now the waiting begins for this year’s round of ED applicants! It’s so nerve-wracking! Good luck to all!

Hmm so any bets as to when decisions will be posted online?

Around December 15.

I heard about a student who has already been accepted ED. How is that possible?

A guess would be 5pm on Friday the 14th for the annoucements.

Recruited athletes often hear ahead of time.

Here’s an article on recruited athletes getting decisions by October:
[Early, Early Decision: Athletes commit to Brown as early as October - Sports](http://media.www.browndailyherald.com/media/storage/paper472/news/2007/11/07/Sports/Early.Early.Decision.Athletes.Commit.To.Brown.As.Early.As.October-3084020.shtml)

Yeah, it is probably an athlete. No one else hears until mid-December.

Does any1 know what a deferral letter looks like? i know what the accepted one and the rejected one does. Could some1 post that on here?

apparently the stanford early action (or are they early decision? i don’t know…) kids got something in the mail saying that they’d hear friday dec. 14th at 5 pm… so maybe we’ll hear then too?

Early action.

And that does sound like a plausible guess.

brown website has been updated-- decisions will be available online december 13 at 5 pm.

I’M TERRIFIED!

Join the party!

ok so i lost my applicant id and i was wondering if any one could jog my memory of the whole applicant id process. i signed up and all that and i know what my password is- but i don’t remember if brown supplied the applicants with their own applicant id or if the applicant change their id after they register online. anyways, if brown supplies the applicant id, could you tell me the formula? Like if your name were Jack Kerouac, would the applicant id be jkerouac?
