Official ED countdown thread!!![Harvey Mudd]

i have no clue

internationals probably get it a bit later

really? e-mail is faster and if we get it in the mail on the 15th= after school
while theyll get it during office hours… somewhere around 8-5pm… so if its later in the day it will be like the next day for them? idk

well, I’m guessing that basing off previous decision threads because in last year decision threads internationals were asking when theirs arrive when people were posting decisions.

ah okay. makes sense

In my previous post, I was referring to a supplemental application for UC Santa Barbara’s College of Creative Studies, done in addition to the main UC application (which I submitted on time). I liked what they had to say about it when I visited their campus, but I don’t fancy my chances of getting in too much, and truthfully UCLA and possibly UCSD will take preference, if it comes down to that.

“truthfully UCLA and possibly UCSD will take preference, if it comes down to that”

you do know ED is binding, right?

Internationals get it before everyone else :D

We got the email at the same time they mailed out the domestic applicant decisions. Email travelled slightly faster than the physical letters did. What we don’t get as quickly is the physical package they send later on.

Yes, it is binding, but only if I get accepted in the first place, and if we can work out an acceptable financial aid packet. I wasn’t saying that the UCs would take preference over Harvey Mudd, as it really is my first choice. I was merely saying what my second and possibly third choices were, if Harvey Mudd doesn’t pan out.

gotcha ; )

So I at first, I thought I had a really good shot at getting in, but after looking at some of HMC’s stats, I think it will be way harder than I thought. I thought my reading score was pretty high, but then I found out that I would be in the lower 25% of the entering class. Here’s some of my stats:
GPA: 4.0 (unweighted)
SAT: 800 (M) 660 (cr) 750 (w)
SAT II: 740 (M2), 680 (Lit), 630 (Bio)
class rank: top 5 %
ec’s: Interact, NHS, American Cancer Society, JV Tennis, Math League, japanese club
Other…
location: waipahu, Hi
nationalities: Okinawan and Filipino

Thanks for the help!!!

I’m really sorry… .I meant to make a new thread… still getting used to the system.

go make a new thread. we’ll post there.

so many people from my school got into UPenn today. (one got into Wharton)
It would suck if I don’t get in

so many people from my school are getting denied. Don’t know why… They are sooooo talented… Getting more and more nervous… !!!

Same! Sorry, I am applying to Bowdoin ED1 and Pomona ED2, but I wanted to say that our school went like 1/15 today with Penn and Stanford (1 Penn 0 Stan).

wait. Stanford?
Stanford didn’t announce it yet

They did for NY at least. 2 rejections and 1 deferral for us.

woah…
I guess they did
Way to surprise people by suddenly sending out decisions early.
I wish Mudd would do that

yeah with the good news thou! :-D
