I wanted to see how much they were freaking out since decisions come out tomorrow, but nope. Not much freaking out. In fact, I made a freaked out post for them.

I went to bed at 11pm, started to think about HMC, couldn’t stop thinking, kept on thinking and thinking and thinking until 2am, woke up again, turned on the computer, and now im here. getting more and more obsessed!!! Mudd hater post didn’t help me. : (… any advice?</p>

<p>I realized that Harvey Mudd early decision will barely be affected by an increase or a decrease in early applicants.
Only about 100 people apply early and accept between 30 to 40 students, while the total acceptance is over 750. As you see, the number of early acceptance is really insignificant, so they will probably only judge you on how good you are rather than how good you are compared to others.

<p>^ It’s true! Every year, 60-70 Mudders go from the tippy-top of their class to the bottom third of the pack. That’s a heck of an adjustment! I’ve come to believe that experiencing failure (the first time ever, for many students) is part of the growth process at Mudd.</p>

<p>But I’m still chanting, “Defer!” for Blackroses :smiley: and hoping her December SAT scores were lots better.</p>

<p>When she got her admission decision in the mail, I was the one to get it. We screamed at 2AM and yelled HARVEY MUDD!!! And mom thought we said Harvard. Haha. ;P</p>
