so does wash u take a combined act score–it looks that’'s what you listed here—i saw something about it online that they did, but i couldn’t believe that a school as competitive as wash u would do something that nice

ACT: 32
GPA: 3.8 UW, 3.92 W
Rank: top 10% (dunno rank anymore, top 10 after 1st semester)

Essay: “Very powerful”
Teacher Rec: Perdy good

ECs: Yearbook (10, 11, 12) Assistant Editor 11, Editor 12; JSA (10, 11, 12); Drama (10) State qualifier; Photography Club (12) Founder; Mock Trial (11, 12); Constitution Team (12); Young Republicans (12) State Delegate; Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (12)

Toured in spring of '05, getting interview and an overnight stay on campus on the 30th

wash u evaluates the highest composite and the highest of individual sections separately. since it’s not statistically valid to form a new composite using section scores from different sittings, ACT prohibits that. however, nothing prevents a university from evaluating just the highest of each section, so wash u (thank god) does that instead.

damn… i only sent one act score…

well since i think the whole looking at the best score in each subject thing is unofficial–i’m sure seeing it on your school transcript would be enough for wash u—it kind of sucks with the act that you have to pay to send each test–and that they don;t jsut send everything together like the collegeboard does

Do you think the decisions will be posted a couple days early like with EDI?

i moved right before senior year, and my new school does not post scores on transcripts so they will just have to handle my one score.

it’s not even a big deal at all b/c i did pretty well on my act.

I’m pretty anxious for January 15th. Do you have to wait until you recieve a letter in the mail or can you see the decision online?

Judging by previous threads yes the decisions do come out online–and usually about a day early:)—here’s a link to last years EDII thread–
http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/archive/index.php/t-26633.html for all of those who are nervous—looking back, it seems the same quesitons are asked every year about EDII -haha—well, UNTIL THE FOURTEENTH…

Good luck to all of you! I hope to see you all there.

not to proud while looking in comparison, but i’ll provide my stats for RDers this year and future EDIIers to help ‘em out- might as well give someone else some confidence, if i can’'t have any

Stats:
ACT: 29 (highest sections: E33, M29, R 34, S 26)
SATII’'s: Spanish: 570 (30th percentile- yea!), World: 790, US: 720
GPA: 3.7 UW, 4.3 W
Rank: school’s ranking system strange- top 25%- exact number/percentile not given
Preliminary Major- International Studies/ History
Gender: Male
State: Kentucky
Ethnincity: Caucasian
Hook: WashU really is my number one choice as of right now- I’m not a reject from a prior ED pool from a more prestigious school if that’s possible-just kidding guys but serious that really does **** me off that the majority of EDIIers are Duke, etc. ED rejects/defferals come on what’s the purpose of ED then --in reality its not a true ED-just a cry of desperation to get in a top 20 school

what school are you from, armcp?
