Till JUNE? I might have to make my deposit at my second choice, which is due on May 1st.

Schools let you decline admission after you make your deposit, right? (Even though they keep the deposit $$ presumably) Just in case I DO end up getting in.

I applied to Cornell as a transfer as an A&S sociology major.
still waiting for a letter, and I couldn’t wait so I decided to join this thread. It looks like everybody who’s still waiting is going through the same anxiety right now…

So, my questions is, did anybody hear back from A&S department yet?
I was going to call the admissions office to see if they sent out all the letters for A&S, but it’s past their office hours in Eastern time…(Let’s say that my time zone is waaaaay west. lol)

I was hoping to get my CAS decision this morning in the mail. As it wasn’t there and as I couldn’t stand this waiting anymore, I decided to risk the odds and make the phone call, all I was told was that the decisions will be sent out on a rolling decision by a fairly cold woman.

Still hoping ! Good luck to everyone on the thread.

Rolling admission guys. As soon as they read your applications they’ll let you know. I sent mine from January… I’m assuming that’s why I got accepted so early :p.

So, we’ve got only three people who are Comm majors for CALS here? And no one has heard back…ok, well it’s time for me to calm down.

Hypothetical question guys…if a ton of us get in, and presumably we’ll all be in the vicinity of each other at Cornell, who’s throwing us an awesome party? :P

@miami, aww thank you! you are super nice too!

So I was at forever 21 today and all the warm weather stuff is on sale and I was sooo tempted to buy a whole new cornell weather appropriate wardrobe! , but I stopped myself thinking I should really get a decision first. Come on Cornell the sale will be over by June! I want to go soooo badly haha other than for having new clothes of course.

I hope they haven’t sent out all the acceptances yet for CAS -____-’. I can’t really tell, since they only take a small number of students (and probably only 1/4 of them use college confidential). Oh well…we all did our best!

^That’s what I’ve been worried about too, but I think on last year’s thread at least one person got a CAS acceptance around April 30th, so I think there’s still hope?

@Dreaming42012 You sound just like me! I keep fantasizing about the new wardrobe I am going to buy for Cornell. I live in Miami so I don’t have any cold weather clothes, meaning I’ll need to do some major shopping if accepted (it’s almost may and still snowing in Ithaca!). It’s just funny that we’re already thinking about this and haven’t even gotten a decision. LOL! I really hope we all get in! Maybe we could go shopping together :P
