Hey did any of you guys check your application status login page? Mine changed and Im just wondering if everyone else’s changed or not. Mine says: Admission decisions for fall 2013 regular decision applicants are now available online at decision.applyyourself.com/?id=cornellu. Please refer to the admission decision notification instructions that were emailed to you previously. It says other stuff but basically like transfer notifications are sent by mail mid april, blah blah blah.

@dolchedog
The same thing happened to me, only that instead of saying “Admission decisions for fall 2013” it says “Admission decisions for fall 2010” o_O.
I hope it does not stay like that until decisions come out.

@dolchedog
Mine says the same thing
@obstemp
thats weird it says 2010 haha. mine says 2013.

Im guessin every1 can login to the meal plan. could any1 post up the housing link?

This is the housing portal login.

Can any transfers go through? Use your applicant ID.

I know the first years have been able to log in since 5.

I mean just because RDers can do it doesn’t mean we can yet.

Nope, I can log into the meal plan with my applicant ID and password, but there’s been no change in the housing portal for me over the past few days.

I can log onto the housing portal but then when I click on the housing application in the portal it says, “the application process is not currently available to you.” Is this the same for you guys?

@Iluvskool, no I get a message that “your session has timed out…”.

I think that’s a good sign for you! What school did you apply to/when were you sent for review?

I get the “your session has timed out” message as well.

I certainly hope it is! and I’m a GT to ILR

Oooh you’re a GT, that makes a lot of sense then. Well congratulations, but we all knew you would be accepted :P

Any other transfers (non GT) able to log into housing?

<a href=“Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University”>Residential Life | Student & Campus Life | Cornell University;

Ahhh all this trying to figure out a way around the regular notification to see if you got in is scary haha…I think I’m just going to wait until my email.

@obstemp

Lol I’m 18 but I’m a junior transfer.

Ok guys, I know I shouldn’t be so pessimistic but I have another question for you. I’m most likely going to have a “C” in biology this semester. I’m applying for the fall semester for ILR. In the event I get denied this time around, would a withdrawal from biology look better than a “C” if I were to apply again? By the way, I had a 3.9 my first semester, and if I were to drop Bio I would most likely have a 4.0 this semester. I am a freshmen if that changes anything.

Hi everyone! I transferred to CALS in 2010 and I have worked for CALS, so of you have any questions, feel free to ask me! Other college questions are welcomed as well.

@bathtubgin, I personally would take the W in biology. That C will bring down that perfect gpa by a lot. Is there a chance of working hard and getting a B?
You are not premed or anything right? I doubt ILR cares much about biology at all. I know CALS requires bio to transfer, but I don’t believe ILR has such a requirement? Correct me if I am wrong. Good luck!

Depends…a C will not look good, try your hardest to get it up to a B. If that really is unfeasible then take the W. 1 W won’t kill you. However next time you take the course, make sure you get an A.

If you’re pre-med it’s especially important to preserve your GPA. 1-2 Ws won’t kill you, but don’t make a habit of it.

Thanks for the insight madirocks. I think it was a “recommendation” that we have it done, so that’s why I took it. I did take a cultural anthropology class last semester, not sure if that would count as a science. I’m thinking I’ll withdrawal, not only because it’s a C, but it is a lot of work that is distracting me from more important classes. Thanks again.

Edit: by the way I am not pre med

@madirocks

I have a quick question. So, all my forms except college officials report have arrived (checked off) and I’m still waiting for that to get to Cornell. Is having my docs ready too late not good for my chance? I guess it is since one person here was already accepted? I don’t really know how the system works, and is very curious/worried

Hey guys!

I’m a first year applicant that got offered guaranteed transfer to CALS today, how does GT work?? Thanks!

@thesockshave, GT is for applicants who were very competitive but they just don’t have room for you in the class.

With GT, you attend a different college for your freshman year, and you complete all the required courses that Cornell tells you (with a B or better generally), and you will be guaranteed a spot as a transfer to Cornell; so you’ll start Cornell in your sophomore year.

I think Cornell will contact you soon with more details right?

@Magicsun1126, You should email/call Cornell and ask. They may tell you to just wait until they contact you for the documents…but at this point I’d probably just send it again.
